So Mazepin all but certain to go. No reason for Haas to keep him on without his sponsorships

Motorsport UK have banned all Russian drivers from competing in the UK.

Even if Mazepin can somehow keep his seat, he won't be allowed in it to race at Silverstone.

I expect other countries to follow suit and Haas will act on the dismissal now

The Russian GP has had its contract terminated by the FIA.

Not only will there be no race in Sochi this year, there will no longer be a race in St. Petersburg in the future.

Or, at least as long as Putin remains in charge...

Shame we won't get to experience the new track next year which looked a lot more promising for racing than Sochi but obviously that's the right decision for the foreseeable.

World champion Max Verstappen has signed a new contract with Red Bull that lasts until the end of 2028.

The Dutchman was already committed to Red Bull until the end of 2023, and the team said the new contract was "in addition to" his existing deal.

I'm calling it now there's no chance he'll still be at Red Bull in 2028. That would make it the longest ever driver-constructor pairing in F1 history.
If it does turn out to be Fittipaldi, I hope his Banco Do Brasil ties mean they sponsor the team and the car runs in blue and yellow colours.

Absolutely thrilled with this. Get rid of that nasty Russian flag livery and that nasty taltentless prick as well. Pure perfection.

And killing the Russian GP is a decision that is 8 years too late

The worst F1 driver in about 16 years has gone!!!! Mazespin out and good riddance.
Interestingly, whilst Mazepin was sacked from Haas despite his willingness to sign the FIA document on 'neutrality and peace', Russia's other most high profile driver, Daniil Kvyat has failed to do so thus making him unable to compete in the WEC this year.

That is interesting. Kvyat has been crying quite loudly in the press this past week and has been incredibly silent on the whole crimes against humanity thing.

Furious we paid him last year as our reserve driver

Imola comfirmed until 2025

Love it

Apparently, Magnussen and Hulkenberg are the favourites for the Haas seat with Giovinazzi an outside chance.
In an ideal world it would be none of them but rather Piastri. However I doubt Alpine would be willing to lend him to Haas.
