67. Definitely Maybe Oasis (67-67) 154,000 (T/S 2,399,400)

70. Big Conspiracy Jhus (32-70) 152,200

Red Hot Chili Peppers and Oasis continue with strong catalogue sales and Kylie proves that her strong database remains loyal.

61, In The Lonely Hour Sam Smith (70-61) 159,700 (T/S 2,752,600)
62. Together At Christmas Michael Ball & Alfie Boe (19-62) 158,600
63. 50 Greatest Hits Elvis Presley (71-63) 156,800 (1,014,800)
64. Direct Hits 2003-2013 The Killers (63-64) 156,100 (T/S 853,203)
65. The Bonny Gerry Cinnamon (45-65) 155,500

The Killers should make 3 x platinum this year whilst Elvis has another million selling compilation. Much Sheeran’s “+”, Sam Smith’s “In The Lonely Hour” was in the top 10 best sellers of the 2010s and makes this list again for the current decade.

The Killers direct hits has done very well in the streaming era and its really helped its sales as i think it initially struggled to go platinum so its great to see that it will go triple platinum this year.
There is 2 more oasis albums to come but as a fan of their music im ok with that, might be a solo album or 2 aswell.

yes Definitely Maybe has just been certified Platinum x8!

Kylie was on the last MW report as 155K after some vinyls sent last week

Sadly it's impossible to know the pure sales, not streaming points for all these albums. :(

56. Greatest Hits Foo Fighters (65-56) 164,100 (T/S 1,488,200
57. Love Goes Sam Smith (59-57) 163,900
58. Power Up AC/DC (26-58) 161,400

60. 21 Adele (98-60) 159,800 (T/S 5,335,100)

Ezra, Foo Fighters and perhaps Adele will get another platinum disc in 2022 for their respective albums and Sam Smith’s most recent album will probably be overtaken by his 2013 album shortly.

51. Back To Black Amy Winehouse (66-51) 173,300 (T/S 4,195,600)
52. Christmas Michael Buble (57-52) 173,300 (T/S 3,202,200)
53. Music Of The Spheres Coldplay (NEW) 171,500
54. Psychodrama Dave (46-54) 170,600 (T/S 337,800)
55. Chromatica Lady Gaga (22-55) 168,700

Two massive sellers from Winehouse and Buble move up the chart and show no sign of losing their popularity. Dave has gone platinum but both Coldplay and Lady Gaga have some way to go.

I hope coldplay can get platinum eventually, there should be more singles released that will help it over 200k, but after that it may take a while.

I hope coldplay can get platinum eventually, there should be more singles released that will help it over 200k, but after that it may take a while.

Sure it’ll reach 300k with a tour and streaming.

Really? I think it will even struggle to reach 200K
I was actually expecting Christmas to be a bit higher than this. No doubt will end up in the top 50 of the decade unless people suddenly stop putting his album on repeat every December.

45. ? Xxxtentacion (44-45) 180,500 (T/S 420,700)

2021 was platinum time for Juice Wrld and the Arctic Monkeys get a 2 million selling album. Sheeran makes his second appearance.

It's a pity that all those recent albums by Gaga, Taylor or Ariana weren't milked more and mostly abandoned on release day

Taylor had masterpieces like Exile or Champagne Problems that sure had smashed if released as singles and hugely helped album sales
