You Just May Be The One gives them an 8th chart-topper, with the nearest track getting through the top 10 blockade being Miles Kane's new single with Corinne Bailey Rae, his first top 10 since Rearrange in 2011, and hers since Paris Nights in 2010, with Corinne having 17 years of top 10's and Miles (with Last Shadow Puppets) 14 years. Nothing's Ever Gonna Be Good Enough is delightfully upbeat and catchy. Ed Sheeran adds to his top 20's 2 weeks after Shivers departed it, Kylie adds to her immensely-long run of top 20's, Seeb grab a 3rd, and The Weeknd gets 2 new tracks from the new album in the chart, Higher Than Zero at 20, and Sacrifice at 30. He's now on well over 20 "hits" since his first number 2 peak of Twenty-Eight 9 years ago. Yola gets a 2nd top 40, Ella Henderson enters new at 25 with the great new single Brave, her 6th since Ghost went top 10 in 2014. Taylor Swift, Alesso and Katy Perry all add to their long lists of top tracks with climbers. New entries lower down include Donny Osmond, 50 years on from me loving The Osmonds One Bad Apple, and 50 years since Puppy Love gave him a first solo hit. He's a week older than me, and no he's not in his 70's, he was 13 when he started having hits! Let's All Dance sounds pretty contemporary for a 64-year-old ex-teen-crooner who's in panto with Julian Clary at the mo. Merry Christmas is pretty good, really, heard it again today. I think I may chart it much higher next Xmas now I've heard it a few more times. :) Good to hear Cold Heart is US top 10 too, Sacrifice was big in the US way before the UK so I guess it's fair it's t'other way round this time :D I dont see Elton retiring from music, just touring. He's too much of a music fan, always has been. He used to compile his own charts (and may still do for all I know, but I hope not as I want the world record for longest span of personal music charts. That record belongs to me, and I intend to keep going as long as I can :lol: ) yes.
