December 15, 200618 yr Author http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/MCSTD40464.JPG - 12 - The Feeling - Fill My Little World {2400} - Released - May 2006 - Chart Run - 28-{10}-16-16-16-16-17-24-28-33-36-36-41-48-45-43-38-45-53-69-61-71->22 - Sales To Date - 104000 [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4pE-rHwJYs.swf The Feeling are 2006's version of Keane or the Kaiser Chiefs but for once are actually good past the first single and hugely overated album. Bursting onto the scene in Feb 2006 with top 10 hit 'Sewn' things really picked up for the five piece Sussex/London based band when this single rocketed into the top 10 with an amazing chartrun - one of the biggest hits of 2006. Two more top 20 hits have followed and with a huge #2 album The Feeling are showing no sign of stopping with a 5th single 'Rose' due for release early 2007. This song was accompanied by a video featuring the band in various sections of a reptile house surrounded by giant reptiles & amphibians. A superb blend of upbeat, pop. All that remains to be seen is whether The Feeling will still be top of the pile when they release their follow up...
December 15, 200618 yr Not sad to see The Feeling come last, that was the only single of theirs I disliked.
December 15, 200618 yr Author http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/W703CD2.JPG - 11 - Madonna - Sorry {2550} - Released - Feb 2006 - Chart Run - {1}-4-7-9-14-20-18-24-29-38-36-44-51-65-75->15 - Sales To Date - 138000 [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EtkGxKeC4Y.swf After a $h!t 21st Century back catalogue and still being overated to hell & back - Madonna burried the god damm awful 'American Life' album and returned to form with 'Confessions On A Dancefloor' in late 2005. 'Sorry' is an instant club smash which crawls into your brain and leaves you addicted with clever hooks and a mouth watering bassline - the follow up to the huge 'Hung Up' saw Madge beat Corinne Bailey Rae & every hosuewive's favourite Westlife to #1 in late Feb 2006. Madonna still outshines many of the artists today and this album in my honest opinion is a true return to the form for the Queen Of Pop.
December 15, 200618 yr There goes my favourite of the bunch. :( I hope Scissor Sisters are low.
December 15, 200618 yr The Feeling spent 22 weeks on the chart?! :o And they're releasing Rose next, I'm pleasantly surprised about that - I had no idea a fifth single was in the pipeline. ^_^
December 15, 200618 yr The Feeling are 2006's version of Keane or the Kaiser Chiefs but for once are actually good past the first single and hugely overated album. How do you know, they've only had one album out! :P
December 15, 200618 yr Author http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/regs135.JPG - 10 - Lily Allen - Smile {2580} - Released - July 2006 - Chart Run - 13-{1}-1-4-4-7-7-13-18-21-27-35-38-44-34-45-57->17 - Sales To Date - 225000 [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_jjuCfdksQ.swf Chavwore alert! After building up a huge fanbase from her MySpace - Keith Allen's daughter burst onto the pop scene this summer with this infectious little ditty 'Smile' about an ex boyfriend who ****ed her up. More famous for her vicious putdowns towards anyone from Bob Geldof to Madonna - whatever people think of Lily personally its the music that counts and her #2 platinum album 'Alright Still' is full of reggae influenced pop songs with Lily's soft but cheeky and sometimes harsh vocals ruling on top 10 hit 'LDN, slushy xmas ballad 'Littlest Things' and must be 4th single 'Alfie'.
December 15, 200618 yr 'Smile' - One of the worst songs of the year for me, truly AWFUL. :puke2: :puke2:
