Patrick won a show here in Ireland called The Last Singer Standing so he would be popular enough on the back of that in Ireland.

Brendan - formulaic, bland, dreary - I rather like it :D

Brooke - edgy and modern but not sure it could succeed with an Irish televote

Janet - very Mamas and I'm not a fan

Patrick - very Brian Kennedy, a little "too" Irish.

Rachel - could be saved with a great revamp. It currently feels a bit of a weak attempt at a throwback.

Good to see im not alone with getting the Brian Kennedy vibes from Patrick.

Miles Graham's lyric video contained an outline of George Floyd during "We'll make sure you're gonna breathe" (now blurred) which led to criticism about romanticising the incident. He allegedly liked tweets (though I can't find them now) that call the critics "crazy" and "snowflakes". Mess.
Yeah I think it's best to try and erase all knowledge of Miles and his song, like Colm did in his post above (intentional or not :D)

My ratings:

1. That's Rich (9/10)

2. Ashes of Yesterday (7/10)

3. One Night, One Kiss, One Promise (6/10)

4. I'm Loving Me (5/10)

5. Real Love (5/10)

6. Yeah, We're Gonna Get Out of It (3/10)

Overall: 5.83/10

Top 5 rating: 6.4/10

That's Rich is the best here but I don't think this sounds like a definite qualifier... The staging needs to be remarkable or else this will get lost in the pile. Ashes of Yesterday is underrated though -- I actually won't mind this winning.

I hadn't even heard it existed. Life was better then.

Janet seems to be the favourite to win from what I'm seeing online with bookies etc with brooke a close 2nd. Could all fall down to how they deliver on the night but I'm still team brooke to win.
I listened to all 6 of these songs yesterday. It's embarrassing that this is the best Ireland can come up with.
Now that the national final is back it might help get people interested again, i wasn't expecting the songs to be brill or anything but overall they arent bad and i genuinely really like Brooks song.

None of them is as good as either of Lesley's songs - even if she wasn't able to deliver them live.

That's Rich seems to be very popular. I hope that wins even though I dont really like it.

Lesleys maps was a huge disappointment at Eurovision, they really messed it up but story of my life i think was the better of the two but i would prefer thats rich way more than both.
The problem with the National Final is the Late Late Show doesnt have much lee way for staging so there will probably very basic perofamnces from that point of view, if thats rich goes to Eurovision i think if given the right staging might stand a chance of qualifying.
Despite the studio jury somehow thinking she was the second worst of the night, the public saw sense and Brooke wins *.
The way the Irish jury tried to tank her and then had to congratulate her on her winning *.*

Ireland choosing the most contemporary song of the bunch is a turn up for the books!

I think this might do decently in Turin once its got more than ten euros for the production budget.
