Green Day have been teasing something titled ‘1972’ for a while now, rumoured to be a new album. This new preview is sounding quite promising! As much as I’ll admit that ‘Father of All Motherf***ers’ had some bangers on it, it really wasn’t the sort of thing anyone wanted from the band.

One of their best, and they were incredible live when I saw them live last year too. They did 5 songs off this album, which is pretty good for a festival setlist. 'Smash It Like Belushi' actually rel

They were all born in '72 (same as me). Probably going the Ash route with the title.

But who wouldn't love to hear them covering Alice Cooper and Roxy Music (among others) biggest hits from that year?

While there is no sign of anything from this project around the corner, they released a cover of Elvis Costello’s ‘Alison’ the other day - recorded in the sessions for ‘Nimrod’.

Surprise! 'Look Ma, No Brains!' is out now. They've also announced a UK tour for next year which includes a Wembley Stadium date and an Isle of Wight Festival headline slot.

The new one sounds like their best material from the 1994-2004 era!

Corvette Summer is my new favourite on the album, closely followed by Suzie Chapstick!
