Posted January 22, 20223 yr Green Day have been teasing something titled ‘1972’ for a while now, rumoured to be a new album. This new preview is sounding quite promising! As much as I’ll admit that ‘Father of All Motherf***ers’ had some bangers on it, it really wasn’t the sort of thing anyone wanted from the band. View this post on Instagram
January 23, 20223 yr They were all born in '72 (same as me). Probably going the Ash route with the title. But who wouldn't love to hear them covering Alice Cooper and Roxy Music (among others) biggest hits from that year?
January 23, 20223 yr As much as I’ll admit that ‘Father of All Motherf***ers’ had some bangers on it, it really wasn’t the sort of thing anyone wanted from the band. Why would anyone not want an album of bangers?! I thought it was a great album (if a little on the short side) but I'm ready for new Green Day!
January 23, 20223 yr Author Why would anyone not want an album of bangers?! I thought it was a great album (if a little on the short side) but I'm ready for new Green Day! I do think it's decent for what it is, but it's pretty much universally loathed by their fanbase/critics! Notably, they haven't played a single song from it live on tour.
January 16, 20232 yr Author While there is no sign of anything from this project around the corner, they released a cover of Elvis Costello’s ‘Alison’ the other day - recorded in the sessions for ‘Nimrod’. 8k_CBproQZA
