February 7, 20223 yr Author Absolutely loved James Morrison's debut album, 'Wonderful World' especially  and 'Breakaway' was a massive highlight from Kelly's biggest era! 'Welcome To The Black Parade' is one of the best rock #1s of all time, I'm still in awe that it got there *.* Yes Jordan, such a good album. I have all of his first 3 albums in fact and each one is just as good as the other. Must hunt it out to give a listen but 'Undiscovered' the song itself is also very good too. Yass at 'Breakaway' love and yeah as noted in my commentary it was such a surprise to see a band like MCR top the chart here.
February 7, 20223 yr Author #25 YUtHjOvPKT0 Pink makes her first appearance here with 'U & Ur Hand'. The 3rd single off I'm Not Dead'. Little did I know The Veronicas released the same song practically with '4ever' around the same time but this was the highest peaking of the similar sounding tracks peaking at #10. #24 MjRRQdnOR-A Like I mentioned Shakira did have one more entry and it's with 'Don't Bother', a rocky sounding pop track in it's own right. It was in actual fact the lead single off Oral Fixation :kink: which I do own a copy of. It was a shame this peaked at 9 and didn't hang around long really as that was the only thing that bothered me a little at the time. Same with Bon Jovi and The Darkness tracks which went top 10/5 and slumped down fast.
February 7, 20223 yr Author #23 hR4kZ8-qrFI It would appear Shakira, Pink and Will Young like to pop up not long after their last positions as Will Young is back again so soon with his final song in my countdown and it's 'Who Am I'. The video features Will as a guest on Blue Peter doing a review of paintings/portraits at a gallery. The song was another of those victims to the pesky #11 peak like a lot of AMAZING songs that missed top 10 by a whisker like 'Battlefield' as another prime example and one other from 2006 which will be showing up very soon in this. It absolutely should have been another secure top 10 for him though. Edited February 7, 20223 yr by Roba.
February 7, 20223 yr Author #22 x1peC9_QOiE The Feeling drop out with the first of 3 songs to feature and it's their debut 'Sewn' that falls first. I must say from watching the video it was certainly an weird one but of course the song being called Sewn did make a lot of sense naturally to the presentation. I still remember the week this, Orson and Shakira all went top 10. What a good chart week that was and I think PCD and Ne-Yo were new the same week as well which made for extra good additions.
February 7, 20223 yr Author #21 V9NhncU5_CE Before we get towards the top 20, falling short at 21 we take a trip to 'America' with Razorlight. I'm glad this was the one to get to #1 over the rubbish 'In The Morning'. Always hated that song whereas this was much nicer and it's one I was singing along to word for word a lot back then. In fact I remember a lot of the lyrics in my head right now. #Creepy (lol)
February 7, 20223 yr Author Just shuffled songs about as I left 'Snow' by RHCP off so everything is one place lower with the Chili's at 46 and Matt booted out but I've put 51 for DLIGTW in brackets. Edited February 7, 20223 yr by Roba.

Love Don't Bother too. And that P!nk song, although it was a rip off of Veronicas 4Ever really. My Chem was indeed a very surprising No.1 but very standout at the time. Oops at some of those you listed as your worst. I loved Fedde but don't like any of the others much either, my sister was obsessed with Fall Out Boy though. That Rihanna song is definitely among her worst, so bland. I wasn't keen on Orson personally, either song, oops. Edited February 7, 20223 yr by gooddelta

Hey Rich Yeah it's a great album both are good imo but I can see why Paolo probably appeals to people more. Definitely looking forward to finally new music from him this year too. It was odd how The Veronicas track was about in 2006 yet wasn't released here until 2009 but I guess it would have clashed too much. As mentioned to you that I've not liked a single Fall Out Boy song because I've always disliked them, 'Cupids Chokehold' was okay though I suppose. Oops at Orson but I get they aren't for everyone especially when the guy has such a shouty voice in it too lol. Thanks for the comments! Edited February 9, 20223 yr by Roba.
February 9, 20223 yr Author #20 ZpDQJnI4OhU U2 released a upgraded version of their 90's single 'One' and tagged RNB legend Mary J Blige onto it and it went on to peak at #2 in April of 2006. #19 gAh9NRGNhUU Give us some 'Hard Rock Hallelejah' Finnish band Lordi screamed when they took part in the Eurovision Song Contest that year and in doing so was the last rock/metal related act let alone band to win the contest only for Maneskin to become the new last rock band to win the contest. Also seeing this live in Brighton with my sister in 2015 was a spectacle *.*
February 9, 20223 yr Author #18 BR4yQFZK9YM 2006 brought us the return of P!nk with her first single back 'Stupid Girls' which had an extremely fun video to go alongside it with Alicia Moore getting wet with a car scrubady dub dub. 17 GemKqzILV4w Snow Patrol pop up with their first of two entries. 'Chasing Cars' which we will never forget for it's long enduring chart run in the top 100. It has been overtaken by The Killers 'Mr Brightside' I think now for token song that will never leave, well that and Ed of course. It's a top track though which made me rather emotional the first time I heard it for whatever reason lol. I believe this was at first in it's chart run looking to miss the top 10 but thankfully it did pick up and grab a decent #6 peak in the end which is what it deserved. 166 weeks top 100 though is crazy but the public couldn't get enough of it for 2 years mostly. February 14, 20223 yr Author #16 P-hj6xP6zu8 The legend Tom Jones hooked up with dance legends Chicane for 'Stoned In Love', a huge banger that made the top 10 in June!
February 14, 20223 yr Author #15 C8AQPGKcZOk and just like that Snow Patrol appear so quickly with their last song 'You're All I Have'. It was the first track to be released off their monster selling album Eyes Open. A brilliant song that's for sure. Edited February 14, 20223 yr by Roba.
February 14, 20223 yr Author #14 nFCuyLwhUzM Queen Kelly arrive with her last song here (BOY being in 2005). 'Walk Away' is 14th and what a kick ass song this is. Loads of edge and attitude to this one and I looove the video to it too. Seeing the video on the music channels at the time just iconic with the hilarious bits in it too.
February 14, 20223 yr Author #13 rjOhZZyn30k Bursting onto the music scene we have Corinne Bailey Rae who funnily enough only just appeared in the latest BJSC contest. A carefree pop track with her cycling with friends in the video. To this day I'm surprised she was late 20's when she released it. This was her only big hit although she did score another top 40 hit with 'Like A Star' which was also very cute.
February 16, 20223 yr Big yes for 'You're All I Have', possibly the best song off of Snow Patrol's best album. And 'Walk Away' is my other favorite on Breakaway so yay!
February 17, 20223 yr Author Big yes for 'You're All I Have', possibly the best song off of Snow Patrol's best album. And 'Walk Away' is my other favorite on Breakaway so yay! Thanks Jordan. Yeah they are both excellent. I'd go on to say 'Walk Away' is my second fave off Breakaway after 'Because of You' (with SUBG 3rd, BTHE 4th and Breakaway 5th but they are all superb - strong era) 12 & 11 will be posted later on today ^_^ Edited February 17, 20223 yr by Roba.
February 18, 20223 yr Author #12 4H5I6y1Qvz0 Ta Dah! The first single the Scissors Sisters released from that album in September managed to snag them their first and only UK #1 single. 'I Don't Feel Like Dancin' is a fun, catchy feel good tune and despite it's overplay because let's face it, it was played to death just like 'Chasing Cars' was.. it's still a damn good song although I must admit despite it being so high in the 2006 EOY I'm not sure it's my favourite from them as 'Fire With Fire' was a number one in my chart in 2010 and finished 10th I believe in that EOY. That being said they had some superb singles from this album on the whole like 'Land of a thousand Words' which was a great ballad effort and 'She's My Man' which was energetic as well.
February 18, 20223 yr Author #11 hGVuqOzG-TM I feel a 'Thunder In My Heart' :music: Meck and Leo Sayer joined forces for this early year dance smash which was a UK #1 in January. Such a jam and definitely one for dancing around to in the lounge when it came on the music channels at the time lol. It's probably not too remembered nowadays within the public despite being a banging tune. Edited February 18, 20223 yr by Roba.
