beyonce is clearly a fan of shakira and i reckon a big one, she did so well by understanding shakira's type of fusion music and trying to get her to agree to this collabo after 1 year of trying, i bet shakira was impressed with beyonce effort and thats why she said yes to her

yeah i wanna see them together performing especially if this song becomes a huge worldwide hit, it may get nominations in the future and maybe shakira will agree to perform it on award shows, one thing i have noticed is how shocking it is that shakira does so little promo nowadays but she is able to get away with it :o and become the biggest selling artist of 2006 how!!?? if you compare her to the promo workd done by justin, beyonce, nelly or xtina its not that much at all especially in the UK

 

its cause she is all powerful :lol: sony can't control her and tell her what to do when she started to tour, she seems to be setting the rules in this era ie "i won't do promo work when i'm touring sony!!" i understand it, she is a person not some robot and she gets tired and doesn't want the hectic lifestyle like back in LS era where she was doing so much but what matters is she can still sell big no matter what.

 

i mean who can get away with doing what HDL did last year!? or recently releasing a single like "pure intuition" on downloads only in holland and have it reach #6 and still after 10 weeks on the chart its at #16 without shakira making a video, without relying on physical sales and without shakira promoting it, all the competition have videos and physical sales....she's so strong!! do you remember "illegal"?? its still charting in some countries in europe :rofl:

I like that shakira has so much control but i'd like to see her on the tv more :( But saying that there aren't many music ttv shows these days. But she should get on some shows like Jonathan Ross and Parkinson in the future. When DB came out, her UK promotion showed a complete lack of understanding of how to promote something in the UK. Going on Paul O'Grady and probably even Loose Women is way more effective than going on the music shows.

i think HDL did the work of 2 singles at least!! and OF2 reached its target in the UK and worldwide so the 4th single was scraped, sony can save money by not releasing a 4th single saving on spending on video and promotion its rare to have just 3 relreases from a hit album, you see nelly, pink and justin all having 4 or more singles and being heavy promoted so the profits from OF2 must be quite big cause they aren't spending as much

 

i think wheh she releases a tour dvd they may release "pure intuition" in the english market and "LDLI" in latin markets it makes sense to help promote it and include PI as an extra bonus track on the DVD, i bet sony are so happy there is a break in her tour so they can get a meeting with her and discuss what to do next but she has added more dates in mexico so they don't seem to have much power over her she is still tour crazy and doing what she wants, oh well she is all powerful :lol: thay have to put up and shut up ^_^

true DB had limited promo, i mean we are not asking for all out media whoring like mcfly od each time just a fair amount not the bare minimum? mini mum? it looks wrong...i spelt that wrong i think :huh:

 

jonathan ross gets high viewers i mean viewing, i don't mean the viewers are high :wacko: anyway he rips into people and makes fun of the guest trying to humilate them sometimes i don't think shakira can handle him and even understand the way he speaks, he will focus on her breast line from WW so avoid JR is say!! loose women and paul o'grady for sure. pink and nelly have appeared twice each already, i don't think she'll come to the UK again for a good while yet

Sony need to make her release a 4th single.. stop the tour whilst she does so and then go back on tour, it'd make it more of a break for her aswel... she must have a meeting with them oncea week onthe phone tho.. beyonce says that happens... especially when you are very famous like she is.... aso touring makes artists the most money but they haveo pay for the venues themselves i think?

It would be so good if the freemasons and the original version were in the iTunes top 10.

 

I bought the maxi cd today. It has BL, BL freemasons, Deja Vu freemasons and Irreplacedable (maurice joshua mix). It looks like they didn't do the Deja Vu Liar mix which was on the HMV tracklistings.

 

I'm gonna download the song at least once, and buy the other CD. HMV didn't have the vinyl when I went in.

I'v not bought yet, i shall sometime in the week tho! question: freemasons will count towards the original version won't it? or will it chart as its own song due to the new rule?

I think it'll count towards BL because it's a remix but I'm not sure.
