This week is a design challenge, with the queens being given a swathe of goodies ordered online which they must turn into fashion forward outfits for the runway!

It's so sad nobody was helping Willow with those boxes bless her :(

I genuinely think that might be the winner I've disagreed with the most in drag race history like... what the f*** was that?! HOW are you going to have a design challenge with all those unconventional materials and the winner is just wrapped in a curtain. This is such a great cast and judging has been fair so far but that was just ridiculous! Sometimes simple is good but like... come on  I literally had to pause the episode and just be like.... WHAT. Like she looks good, it would be fine for like an outfit in a club to lipsync in but it's an unconventional design challenge and I think using the materials in unusual ways should be part of it.

Lady Camden pissed all over this challenge and I can't believe she didn't get that win. Daya I think deserved top too, Angeria as well, it was very simple but the fans being added was so effective. Willow's was simple also but I loved her concept, her or Bosco could have been in the mix for the top as well.

WIN Lady Camden

High Daya, Angeria

Low DeJa (Jorgeous could be here too, but you can't really fault how she looked)

Bottom: Kerri, Maddy

for me

Jasmine had absolutely NO business being anywhere near the bottom but she did absolutely eat that lipsync, I think that was better than Jorgeous last week? Did they just want to ensure that the first lipsync to Beyonce on the show was great, idk, but DeJa and Kerri both would turned it out I expect (not as much as Jasmine, granted).

Daya is unbearable in Untucked but I do get her, she actually had an idea and did a lot with unconventional material, a concept and story, and she lost to someone wrapped in a curtain  Honestly though playing up to that narrative is just gonna have production writing her as a Jan storyline and not giving her props because it's better TV to have her blow up like that but she's doing no favours acting like that about it!

Also Maddy fighting Jasmine in Untucked had me SCREAMING like sorry but did she really think she was gonna win a Beyonce lipsync to Jasmine LMAOOOO

Jorgeous was rock bottom for me again this week. Easily my least favourite queen on the season, they call Jasmine delusional? Jorgeous is giving absolutely nothing every week except "poor me I'm so young and pretty and stupid uwu" come the f on.

Worst outfits: Maddy, Kerri, Deja. Lowest effort - Jorgeous!

My tops: Bosco, Lady C, Jasmine. Possibly Angeria but she'd be my 4th pick this time, didn't love the skirt or the fit of the bust.

Surprised they didn't use the gold bar here tbh after that Untucked drama. You'd think they'd want to keep that energy going. I do think Maddy was robbed of some High placements earlier in the season & she was well on her way to becoming a season-long meme queen.

Is Jorgeous winning and Kerri safe 2 of the clearest examples of pretty privilege we’ve ever seen on the show?

Jorgeous look was my 3rd least fave above Kerri and Maddy I’ve genuinely never been more confused by a winner of a challenge

i don’t think lady camden’s look was as great as people are making out. it had a good runway effect but the blue fleece piping was hella messy! when u look at other robber looks from previous seasons *utica*, it’s definitely wasn’t on their level.

overall was quite a low quality design challenge. bosco / camden / angeria all did rly well but weren’t up to the level of previous seasons. i ADORED willows concept but she needed more time for execution.

the less we say about kerri at this point the better.

I honestly thought Jorgeous was going to be in the bottom.... and then she WON. What? I just don't understand the judges this season.

The really annoying thing is Kerri is so charismatic and funny in the workroom and the confessionals, but absolutely NONE of her personality has even remotely translated to a single challenge so far?

Is Jorgeous winning and Kerri safe 2 of the clearest examples of pretty privilege we’ve ever seen on the show?

Yep

I got dragged for saying so on Reddit, but had a big girl worn what Jorgeous did I highly doubt they would get the same reaction from the judges. I'm so bored of pretty skinny twinks being able to do the bare minimum for "fashion" on this show! Even worse are some of the fans reaching to justify her win by saying basic looks have won before, but there's a difference between a simple gown or outfit, and literally an accessorised curtain! I mean yeah, props to her for not doing a LaLa, she came out in something decent, and she did look good, but bottom line is, she basically wrapped a curtain around herself for an unconventional materials design challenge. She thought on her feet and didn't deserve to go home for it, but no chance did she even remotely deserve a win for it.

Lady Camden is very much being slept on here. :(

Everyone is saying Angeria could have 3 or 4 wins by now, and yeah kinda tea, but honestly Camden won this and last week for me and I'd have had her a double win for Willow for the double Ball (toss-up with Angeria but still)

Bosco is being slept on I think too. It's hard to craft that material. She and Angeria probably had the hardest job, plus Willow with her hands.

Completely disagree with Jasmine in the bottom as well. She did nothing wrong, in my opinion. Really liked her look and she used the time well to do crafting, knitting, accessories and a bold face, all with a different silhouette than the first construction challenge. Meanwhile Jorgeous looked like she pinned a curtain under a bra and panty and called that a day.

For me Jorgeous I just find extremely irritating because she keeps fluttering through challenges whining like Farrah Moan that she just thinks she's bad at everything - and she kinda is! Why did she apply for the show and why is RuPaul and the judges just going easy on her when at the same time queens like Alyssa Hunter are shot down as soon as they are less than perfect?

Kerri really underwhelmed this episode too and I don't like that it looks like they're going to shield a trans queen again for no reason. Kerri could have beat Maddy in this lipsync, just like Mik could probably have beaten Tamisha in S13 if it was edited right. No-one likes a queen getting passes and tbh it doesn't really help people not be prejudiced and fall into conspiracy theories about 'special treatment' to see people who are minorities getting given passes for no reason. Fair and equal treatment would be judging Kerri by the same standards as everyone else - judging her to a different standard is discrimination too in my opinion.

I agree about Bosco, however her, Daya, Angeria, Willow and Lady Camden all could have been top so a couple of them would always miss out. I sometimes wish it wasn't a rigid top 3 in challenges like this where there's quite a few who did well so they can get praised, because the show should be celebrating drag after all and these challenges must be really tough compared to say an acting challenge.

Also Tamisha or Kandy would have destroyed Mik, sometimes a little riggory is needed to keep big characters or in that case a frontrunner in for good TV and I do get that, it's reality TV. And Mik wasn't even low that episode but if they critiqued her, it would be clear as day she deserved the bottom, by putting someone like Mik/Kerri in these challenges safe, it kinda brushes them under the carpet. Plus they had the Kandy and Tamisha storyline to wrap up, so sometimes it makes sense. This however doesn't, there was really no storyline to it and no frontrunner to try and protect, so they could have just done Maddy vs Kerri as it should have been. Kerri would have easily won against Maddy, and they were easily the two worst this week. I think maybe they wanted to ensure a worthy lipsync for the first Beyonce song they licensed, and they didn't think Kerri would do that after Play idk?

Jasmine was absolutely a strong safe, yes she should have edited the look down but it was just a little bit busy, that isn't anything terrible. They even basically said that she just needed to take the hat and earrings off and it would be fine so I have no idea how that translated to being in the bottom.

I've never been so baffled by a winner in the whole time I've watched the show. Okay, maybe Sonique in that American Horror Story disaster. But, I would legit have had Jorgeous in the bottom... I- we- HUH?!!!

I didn't think the production hand could be heavier than Season 13 but it really is, and it's most apparent for Jorgeous. Almost every episode since they became a 14 infact, apart from Week 5, I've found it bizarre.

Week 3: Jorgeous shouldn't have been in the top for the Ball. Someone like Alyssa absolutely should've been.

Week 4: Kerri definitely shouldn't have been in the bottom and Alyssa won the lip sync but was sent home anyway by really hamming up one failed prop. Jorgeous and Orion were much worse and should've been low instead of Kerri and Kornbread.

Week 5: Mostly correct.

Week 6: Jorgeous being in the top, let alone being a winner?! And Kerri not being even low, seemingly her poor lip sync in Week 4 has got them scared to put her near the bottom. That look was undoubtedly worse than Deja's and Jasmine's.

It's clear from RuPaul's comments that she's going to be in the final, she's making the exact same comments she made to Krystal Versace but they're having to work even harder to try and make the placements make sense.

All I will say is that Deja should’ve definitely been in the top. The dress was so polished and effortless. The gold accessories didn’t take away from or add anything extra to the look, then judges be smoking something. Deja’s drag and aesthetic finally clicked with me.

Jorgeous was okay, she should’ve been 3rd max. She’s still doing her own thing with the same outfits and same runways which is getting kinda boring. Wasn’t this challenge supposed to be about fashion and unconventional materials, not just barely covering your body with regular fabric and pulling a very vague concept out of your ass last minute.

I feel like Drag Race has trained us, the viewers, to be critical of queens that stick things to a bodysuit or wrap a piece of fabric around their body — it's strange to see that rewarded after years of hearing how basic it is.

I know comparing queens is silly but one won the unconventional materials design challenge and one didn't~

Controversial opinion time. Deja Skye is being slept on because she’s not skinny. Take the same garments and put a skinny queen in them and she will stand out.

That was me being triggered by the S13 ball challenge and the weird turn of events in regards to the winner. :’)

I completely agree with that about Deja actually. How she ended up in the bottom, I have no clue, they’d have eaten that outfit up on a different body.

I didn't like Deja Skye's outfit at all — didn't agree with the weird comment about accessories when I found the dress itself pretty dull and basic. I do agree though with skinny queens being able to get away with much more — or less.

I wasn't a fan of DeJa's outfit (hence my low for her), it was well made though, it was just a high standard this week and there were ones I like better.

I do agree about her in general though, she's really funny, great personality, has been doing pretty well in challenges, and just seems to be there in the background as far as producers are concerned. On the runway too she has that Eureka thing where she really knows what fits and flatters her which a lot of bigger queens don't. They didn't even really critique her that much, not to justify a low placement, so it definitely seems like they aren't that fussed and used her as a sacrificial lamb so Kerri didn't have to be in the bottom, I am so cynical sometimes since I started watching Drag Detective on Youtube who analyses storylines and why things are rigged
