You know what, it may just be! Love the mix up of styles and tempos, reminds me of the sorts of structures the Chems used to go for in the 90s. Only Bicep rivals this for me in recent years

This 100%. I love listening to this album so much. Each track brings something different. Outside of the singles, my faves are Pigeon Barron and FM.

Bodies of Water is so underrated too. I've played it 77 times according to Last FM.

Will be checking out the album in my usual late fashion but just heard the title track now and it's definitely my fave of the first 3 singles (not that I expected any less from a Jon Hopkins collab)
The title track with Jon Hopkins has been added to 6 Music's playlist today

Up to the A-list now and also the most streamed song of the era. I guess the Jon Hopkins stans helped a bit with that.

Agreed with these 2 picks after hearing the rest of the album! (Actually 'Pigeon Barron' is my favourite even including the singles <3 close between that and 'Lights Out' for my favourite thing I've heard from HAAi to date)

'Human Sound' and 'I've Been Thinking A Lot Lately' are v good too (the former giving me a bit of a Faithless vibe with the spoken word feature), a few of the other tracks on the album weren't clicking with me as much as I wanted to though, particularly the Alexis Taylor collab which I had high hopes for but just turned out decent, also thought 'Orca' was good but kind of underwhelming for being the longest song on the album sadly. Also another album that has an interlude track that sounded like it could have been a highlight if it was fully fleshed out ('AM')! Was still well worth hearing the album though.

A single edit of Biggest Mood Ever has been released!

The edit doesn't really do the song justice imo. I will stick to the original which has grown on me a lot since the album release.

That video game-like sound effect in the 2nd verse of Baby We're Ascending really jumped out at me recently. I never noticed it before and thought she might have changed the production but I guess not

HAAi is curating the next instalment of the DJ-Kicks series which will be released on November 10 via !K7 Records. It features three new tracks from her + exclusive songs by I.JORDAN, Koreless, Jon Hopkins, Kam-Bu, River Moon, DJ PGZ, Manni Dee, Joshua James, The Blessed Madonna and Cocktail Party Effect.

It aligns with the theme 'Always Ascending', simultaneously nodding to an evolution in her artistry and the album 'Baby, We're Ascending'.

The first single 'ZiGGY' is out now and it's great!
