And a 12 year old not getting an abortion?! WTAF, EE?! They are TERRIFIED of showing abortions, or its writers/ producers are morally against them...

She literally said at the end of the last episode that she wanted to get the abortion. Lola had an abortion, Lauren had an abortion, Lucy had an abortion, Michelle had an abortion, Sharon had an abortion, Bianca had an abortion, Carol had an abortion, Stacey had an abortion.

Janine is in prison, Linda is the one that reported Mick missing and the one who has been in contact with the police.

I enjoyed the scenes in the market where there was a continuous flow of characters interacting with each other. There's a good community feel going on since I tuned back in.

Patrick is a heart-warming presence for me so I'm glad that he's been given a role that feels central to the community in The Vic.

I also appreciated the Kat/Lily interactions, the sooner the former gets away from Phil the better (shocked it hasn't already happened)

Patrick in the Vic seems like a good move. The pub needed an overhaul after being dominated by Carters for almost a decade. Hopefully a Linda/Alfie/Patrick mix will give it some much needed life.

Drunk Kathy is always a treat.

Not Lily getting two consecutive cliff hangers of her changing her mind about the baby

This'll be the youngest (since Sonia) that a character will have had a child I think? Can't recall how old Kat was when she had Zoe and Dermott.

Kat was just 14 when she had Zoe, I don’t acknowledge that she ever had Dermott, the show doesn’t after all.

Lilly will be just 13 when she gives birth assuming she goes full term.

Kathy referencing her sewing machine from the most iconic duff duff *.*

Genuinely thought tonight's episode was one of the best I've seen in forever. The character interactions, emotion and especially the script were so perfect. I was moved, laughed, shocked. It had it all and it achieved it through not being over the top, but centring on genuine human interactions and emotions. I am loving the show so much recently.

Except for Honey and Alfie ofc. They can leave x

I appreciate what they're doing bringing Emma into the show but good lord how is it that after 12 years of nothing one visit from Billy means she's already in Albert Square spying on Lola from afar

Also very much here for DC Booth putting Jack in his place several times tonight

I was really moved by Lola's dialogue about not wanting to be a dying bride - plus the 'L' balloon flying off while the 'J' one hung around in the bedroom alone was really sad too </3

on a lighter note, Phil made me laugh when he looked at Kat and without hesitation said "no" after Lola was talking about the his-and-hers leopard print toilets

I agree that the show does feel in a good place right now, happy that I gave it another go after so long

Apparently

Ash

is leaving but I honestly forgot she was still in the show.

Again? She already left once which felt pointless to come back and do nothing??

That departure wont have any impact, very forgettable, but i have to say in general the show is on a fairly good roll at the moment, nice few storylines going on and its good to see the episodes have many different characters getting screen time rather than it been heavy focused on just a few characters.
