Boxing Day was predictable. We're going to have months of the cover up 😔. Why do EE always do this, the cover story will be so unrealistic and boring.

It will be interesting to see who eventually does pay the price for their involvement and who will turn on who as I'm sure that is the future plot of this storyline.

Although somehow I think Nish will have heard it and Subi will be forced to stay with him on the back of it.

Fair play to all the team at eastenders for making sure the outcome wasn't leaked and I'm all for more of that happening as it makes it more interesting watching not knowing what happens.

I'm hoping they get decent ratings for the Christmas day episode when they are released.

Also just watched it on iPlayer,

can they just pin it all on Kathy tbh like wtf was that police interview?!

I need Suki and Eve to be cleared so they can finally just be together openly, I don't think Suki will be forced back to Nish at least as too many people know now. So annoyed at Kathy outing her though especially when it's not really relevant to the story they're spinning to the police. It's the same as Sharon saying Albie's paternity was her thing to tell them about, Eve was Suki's business. Kathy is gonna be the downfall of the six and it's only been 2 days

3.6 million ratings for Christmas day without catch up, should easily pass 5 million when included I'd say.

EastEnders was the only soap to make the top 10 ratings.

What's happened to ratings?? Dox Who is doing worse than it did under Jodie now, ans even with Tennant it waz barely scraping more. EE was massivley publicised, it was the soap to watch, and it also flops, as do the other soaps!
2.6m last night which is a good hold. Fully expecting Xmas Day to skyrocket once iPlayer figures are counted considering how late it was on live
It's the overnight figure only. If that were its final rating, it wouldn't be great, but it adds a lot on the +7 day rating through catch-up viewing and iPlayer (where it's one of the best performing shows).

People don’t watch live TV like they used to. The highest rating on Christmas Day was the King’s speech on about 7 million. 4 years ago, Gavin and Stacey managed 18 million-but that was unusual for the time to be that high.

Honestly it’s like some people just wasn’t to scream ‘flop’ for attention…

And the context has been explained. Stop coming for Eastenders, you barely watch it.

It was explained, then you jumped on for no reas9n? Leave me alone pls.

I didn’t specifically single you out and this whole board is full of people calling everything a flop all the time. It’s quite tiresome but thanks for making it all about you.

I'm looking forward to tonight's!!! It's been my highlight of xmas telly. Kath was awful last night, espexially dialling 999 and then hangin up!!! - and even just liftin the phone off the hook would be a BIG DECISION in those moments. She's my bet for dumpin them all in it. Maybe Rocky then realises what happens, as he saw Sharon goin in that cafe in a dressing gown, and after they all tuen on her, HE takes the blame and that's why he leaves? It's what they did on Desperate Housewives, with the girls and a murder, then Brer getting accuaed, and being saved at the last moment by Mrs McClusky!!
Kathy is just !!!!!! They'd have been much better off if all that had happened wirbout her around. She'll get the police on them for sure.

I think Rocky probably would take the fall for Kathy but it's not just her that's implicated, plus it's potentially a murder and GBH charge if they figure out Keanu didn't attack Nish. Kathy has already said she wouldn't want Rocky going to jail even for something he did do because he'd die there so she wouldnt let him take the blame. I feel like his exit story will be one where the door is still left open for him as well.

Also I really don't care about the viewing stats, I don't need that kind of validation to be sure an episode was good or not, just because Debbie next door wasn't tuned in live doesn't mean it was shite  Like has already been said, most people will be watching on iPlayer, I imagine a lot of people are watching this week's episodes pre-air time as well if they're invested and have free time during the day.

Nothing gets high viewings anymore, only event viewing really like football and Eurovision. Strictly and I’m A Celeb are the exceptions but mostly things that are daily/serialised or have a different audience, viewing habits are so different now. People know they can watch early on iPlayer, or later on, so knowing you don’t have to tune at 7:30 each day to watch, people don’t. Years ago you basically had to be there and watch or miss out, so of course everyone would watch, also there wasn’t streaming so you had far less choice of content. EE is still a huge talking point, has buzz, and that’s what matters.

So does that mean Hollyoaks isn't in danger of the axe?? Its ratings were reaaally low. Also explains why it got put on 4player. But I am GAGGED at how low the ratings are for everything around Xmas!! Just a few years ago, they were still doing 10 million. Then again, I watched on record, so my views won't have counted either!! :chreseblock:

The thing is, this is all gonna go south, and Kathy and her phonecall is to blame. That means SOMEONE has to go down for it, or do a runner. Unless they manage to pin it on Nish somehow, and they can't, as they said he got done jn by Keanu anyway, then ONE of them will go down for it, at least. It can't ne Sharon, or Stacey, unlikely to be Kathy after bringing her back from the dead, so that leaves Linda, and she is the actual killer... and she tried to kill Janine TWICE last Christmas... , Suki, Denise, or pawning it off to Rocky, who is leaving. So that's my guess on how the storyline will end.
