I just read this on a leona forum "That he has been sent songs for Leona already and that he thinks 1 of them could be a huge wordwide hit and it won't be an album full of covers GREAT news"

 

It's a song called Paradise, but I'm not that keen on it, it's very similar to Corinne Bailey Ray's Put Your Records On. I'm really pleased for her as Simon is eager to use her self-penned stuff and the tracks from her Twilight album could be excellent with some more production.

 

I am REALLY pleased that Leona won X Factor lastnight, She thoroughly deserved to win and more than Ray. I wasn't keen on him from the start, He was too cocky and loves himself.

 

Also when he performed swing every week it got boring, I couldn't wait for him to finish. Leona has GREAT stage presence and an aoura about her, The passion and emotion when she performs is AMAZING and she can sing ANY kind of song from uptempo upbeat to slow. It's also great to see a female win a competition. :D

You must have been watching a different show to me. Granted Leona is technically a great singer but like Ray she has churned out the same type of songs, power ballads week after week. Passion & emotion are not about warbling or reaching high notes in fact the way she oversings it often takes away the meaning of the song. Someone should tell her sometimes less is more. Don't see the stage presence either. :wacko: Only my opinion of course.

Saw Leona on GMTV this morning. She seems a really lovely person. And she sang brilliantly too. I think she's going to do really well

i love 'Paradise' but i think her best written song is ' It's All For You' Its amazing i think.

I can't wait for listening to her own stuff :D

Coz IMO Kelly Clarkson's "A moment like this" is better than the Leona cover... and I'm far from being a Kelly fan lol
