Just watched her interview with capital where she said she wants critical acclaim more then charts which she has achieved (which Ed hasn't his critic score is lower) so she's already won.

People not streaming the earlier singles kind of confirms that the album would've done a bit better with proper tracklisting.. Well it is what it is.

I don’t think I’ll be able to make the Circuit shows in Kingston today. I have both the 5pm and the 7pm doors open tickets. Wow, what a rollercoaster for the album release. Honestly, there was a moment when I thought it wouldn’t even come out.

For me, it’s all felt a bit bittersweet… I love Jade, I even have tickets to see her, but I lost interest in the project during FUFN.

I’ve listened to the album and, well, it does have some good songs, but I feel like we already knew the best parts of it. It’s a shame that we had heard half of the record before release and that there weren’t any new hits or standout tracks left, because in the end it makes the overall listening experience feel less powerful.

It’s such a shame what happened. The rollout has been endless, and the only real hit came out almost a year and a half ago. As much as the later singles were good, none of them had the same impact as the first one, so I think people gradually lost interest in her and in the project.

I still believe that AOMD was the single she wanted to put out as an artist, to launch her career, but she wasn’t really expecting any success with it. I’m sure the plan was to push the more commercial songs, but it turned out the other way around.

The direction she needs to take is IT GIRL, AOMD — more deconstructed, riskier pop, edgier lyrics, etc. I think that’s what people really want from her. I get that after two years of working on an album, once you see what works and what doesn’t, you can’t just change everything, but I hope we get a new era single soon.

As a project, even though it hasn’t been a commercial success, I hope the label is at least somewhat happy — she’s done tons of festivals, had a sold-out tour… but I don’t know how willing they’ll be to keep giving her budget if she doesn’t manage to get commercial impact.

Honestly, the music industry today is awful; Spotify has ruined everything.

Am I the only one who thinks this album is actually getting so much better now that I’m becoming familiar with each track? (Really helps that I have literally listened to nothing else but this since release lol)

There’s a sound she teased on this album but never more than just a tease (like in ‘Unconditional’) that I would love to hear her in that I never knew I needed to hear her in… Rock! She’d smash that sound.

I agree! The album is just getting better and better! It’s so freaking good. Whilst in HMV waiting for Jade the album was on repeat and it sounds so good. Songs that were my least favourite are now ones I love too!

Echoing the above: it's definitely getting better with each listen! I knew my perspective of the new songs was only being diluted by my attention being shared between them!

'Silent Disco' is the one that I don't love as much as the others now, but then I'm not a huge ballad person (it's vocally flawless, and a great song though, just not high energy enough for me haha, so "as much" is definitely the key part of that sentence!)

It definitely grows with each listen, I dont think the biggest problem is we already knew half, I think the biggest problem is they were lumbered together so it essential feels like 2 albums, they should of scattered the released tracks around a bit more

(Especially when you consider each single released had everything released up to that point attached each time 😅)

They need more time to grow on me but still solid!
