But Wikipedia is always unreliable for sources and I doubt they’d release a spin-off to celebrate 41 years. I hope Now Country 2024 gets revealed this week and Now Millennium 2004-2005 gets revealed next week and I reckon Now Yearbook Extra 1990 will be released on 15th March

I've bought the last few of their country offerings so I'll have to compare and see what this offers that's different, before buying. Interesting that this one is on vinyl too.

Does look indeed like Now Millennium 2004-5 is coming on 1st March, I've seen placeholders for it on various French and Japanese sites on Google.

Makes me wonder if the rest of that Wiki list is correct... I can do without 80s Pop and Sing-Along, bring back the 'Forgotten Hits' strand!

The new NOW Country seems very similar to the last release.
I thought they normally reveal the spin-offs 5 weeks prior to release date instead of 4 weeks prior to release date and they normally just reveal the numbered Nows 4 weeks prior to release date
I can do without 80s Pop

I wonder if there will be ANYTHING on this that hasn't already appeared on a Now product?

I just hope that we get Now 117 before Easter this time like usual and not after Easter like last year

I would love it if Murder on the Dancefloor and Unwritten get added. Especially since Unwritten never made a NOW. I think it would've been great on NOW 60, shame Sony BMG said no.

Plus let's add another Madonna track to her total and get "Popular" on there.

I’m not too fussed if Murder On The Dancefloor misses out as it did appear on Now 51 but I’d love for Unwritten to appear as it missed Now 60. Although Unwritten peaked in 2004, I hope they place it on disc 3 or 4 of Now Millennium 2004-2005 as These Words will most likely be placed on disc 1 or 2

Murder on the Dancefloor can't be hard to license, it was on Now Millennium 2002-3, Now 40 Years 1993-2003 and the Now 40 Years 100 track compilation, all in the last few months.

Unwritten was on Red Hot Hits (which I *think* came out on the same day as Now 60 - pretty sure I remember buying them together). It's weird that Now got These Words but not Single or Unwritten. It was also then on Essential Hits later that year, and Summer Hits '06 the following year. So Hits definitely rinsed it.

It’s not just licensing. They might just choose not to include it. With Natasha Bedingfield, she was signed to Sony label who wouldn’t allow their hits to appear on a Now as they were licensed to the Hits series and Single did appear on Hits 58

I'll certainly be very surprised if they don't include MOTD, given its recent NOW usage.

I wouldn’t. They did miss out a lot of hits off the previous volume. They included old songs on Now 114 last year; Bloody Mary and Sure Thing but they never appeared on a previous volume. All the hits which missed Now 116 could be included on Now 117 ie Water, Greedy, Prada and Prada did also appear on the Annual 2024

I think if it's available to them and they can afford it (which should be the case with MOTD) then they'll take it. Anything to make the album stronger, with more hits.

I'd wager there's not very many top 10 hits that they are able and can afford to license and choose not to these days (apart from maybe a few rap hits they can't get or make a clean version of).

Sony did let These Words appear on Now 59, but I suppose those end of year albums did sometimes feature surprises, perhaps because they sold better so Now were happy to splash out more on the licenses (e.g. J.Lo, Five and Westlife on Now 50).

To be honest, I’d rather they reused songs from past volumes instead of leaving a massive gap in the disc

Yeah i could do without the sing along one

The 80s pop one i will have to see the tracklisting but i bet it will be the usual suspects so it'll probably be a no

I did like the forgotten hits ones too, and 100 hits.

i loved the previous 100 Hits pre-Now.

Just ordered the Country one as i don't have a country one and the tracklist wasn't too bad.

I noticed Lady Antebellum is credited have they stopped using Lady A?

There's now two more:

NOW That's What I Call Happy

NOW That's What I Call Summer Throwbacks

I think someone from the labels is getting a bit too excited

I’d love for them to do a Now That’s What I Call Grand Theft Auto and include songs which appeared in GTA games such as Vice City, San Andreas, 4 and 5 etc. They should release it next year to coincide with the release of GTA 6. Now that would be worth buying
