on Popjustice people are completely nuts about that but they did the same with Rosalia and Lana del Rey
Agree about the 'As It Was' comments, it's really nothing special, it's selling more from his name power than quality. I wish he'd come back with a properly amazing song!

As It Was seems to have been a grower for many people - stick with it for sure!

 

Agree that it's not just selling on name power. If it were, I think it would've dropped quite significantly by now? Name power only gets you so far, look at The Joker and the Queen for example.

But what I mean is, if a different artist had released it, it wouldn't be doing anywhere near as well - although I know you can say that about a lot of songs by big artists. Anyway, I'll stick with it and see if it grows on me!

It’s definitely not just selling on name power, if it was it would be starting to die down slightly by now, it’s still doing 700k + a day on Spotify and stabilised around that number! The song is definitely clicking with the public, me included.
But what I mean is, if a different artist had released it, it wouldn't be doing anywhere near as well - although I know you can say that about a lot of songs by big artists. Anyway, I'll stick with it and see if it grows on me!

It’s not come up on at all one! It sounds pretty good though, I think it’ll be Top 10 at least but probably not #1.
