Posted April 1, 20223 yr With the lead single “As it Was” streaming more the than lead Adele single in its first hour on Spotify, expectations are high for the first week sales, and this is definitely the first blockbuster album of 2022. But what will the first week sales be? His last album opened with 49,092 sales, and for context Ed Sheeran, Adele and Abba did 139,107, 261,856 and 203,909 respectively last year.
April 1, 20223 yr I put 100-130 based on right now. However, I think it could be more as he’s headlining Coachella and I think he’s gonna drop another song before the album which will help. I’m hoping 150+😏
April 1, 20223 yr The highest one-week sale outside of Q4 last year was 74,191 for Dave, so I'm gonna say 71-100k. Definitely expecting more than Fine Line despite not being in Q4 as that was but over 100k might be hard without the gift-buying boost that those mentioned in post 1 had.
April 1, 20223 yr Quite torn here! I feel I could be underestimating him but because of how well Fine Line did and how many variants they are I’m gonna go for around 90k maybes just over 100k. I could be underestimating him but after looking at Ed and Adele’s first week sales for Harry I think that feels about right. Can easily see it being the highest debut of the year until Lewis Capaldi drops and should hold up well enough to chart highly on year end too. But yeah gonna say #1 for him and sales between 90-100k. Daves sales last year felt like a good estimate for this but Harry’s appeal is more on a physical level I think isn’t it where as Daves very streaming friendly Harry’s kind of both so I think he’ll likely beat Daves first week sale.
April 1, 20223 yr Author The webstore vinyl went on sale at midnight and was sold out first thing this morning. I think physical sales are going to be massive plus he’s huge on streaming so I’ve gone for 100 - 130k.

Dave does well both physically and on streaming as well - 'We're All Alone In This Together' had 41.6k pure sales in its first week! I can see Harry beating him but I think doing 100k+ is probably a tall order so have predicted 71-100k.
April 2, 20223 yr Author I think the last album elevated him to an Ed level of success so I’m going for 100 - 130k.
April 2, 20223 yr Tricky one as I’d have thought 70-100k but I feel like he might get over the 100k mark. I reckon 125k or something around there. I’d agree though he’s almost on the same level as Ed and has very broad appeal. I really wasn’t a fan of OD but I’ve really grown to like Harry’s solo material, fine line was a good album.
April 2, 20223 yr As It Was is by far his strongest song yet and he seems to be as popular as ever. Will definitely go for over 100k and it will be a big seller in the long run too.
April 2, 20223 yr I'd like to think he could go over £100k, but some big albums have under-performed recently so I've gone for £71-100k.
April 2, 20223 yr I think he's gone do more than Ed last week and open with >150K the reason being just the multiformat unlike Ed or Adele, Harry's fans are the kind that multi buy and everyone with end up with 7 vinyls and 5 cassettes and they're all happy about it Adele had to do a Q4 cos she doesn't have the multi buying fanbase so she relied on Xmas gifts but Harry doesn't need that, things have changed since the Fine Line release, which did rely on Xmas gifts but now the market is a totally different thing so I'm positive he'll do minimum 100K
April 2, 20223 yr I think he'll do around 100,500 first week. But I couldn't see an option for that on the poll so I didn't vote. Sorry.
April 2, 20223 yr Adele is huge flop thesee days, so probably a bir more than her in singles and albums.
April 30, 20223 yr I can't see it having much impact at all, the GP won't be aware of it/how to access it.
April 30, 20223 yr his big sales will come from fans buying 7 vinyls and 5 cassettes, those fans don't care about leaks and leaks only affected back at the peak of people buying albums on itunes before multiformatting took aver the album charts
April 30, 20223 yr ^ Surely his big fans won't rush to stream the album 10 times a day if they will have heard it already...
