Other than First Class and (to a lesser extent) Nail Tech, the rest isn't doing much for me 😶

having read reviews online on Twitter, the feelings of this album are similiar... the album is a bit... meh.

I think he has better songs in a vault ready to release...

I actually think the album is decent . It’s nothing ground breaking or anything but has a few bops on there when I listened through . I think for some reason it’s just popular to hate on him at the moment with his surge in popularity.

I think people like him so they expected it to be very good - which it isn't tbh. Big expectation -> disappointment -> harsh reviews.

I'm sure he'll deliver bops in the future too, but nothing on the album is as good as his verse on Industry Baby which is pretty sad I'd say.

i think realistically he's brought in a pop audience who were expecting more pop music... hence the poor reviews.

i notice the pitchfork review references 'what's poppin' (which could be anyone) and 'industry baby' so it goes to show the author isn't a big jack fan musically... otherwise they'd see the album is much more in vein of tracks like 'creme'

He doesn't make the type of rap music that critics like, Pitchfork's opinion on an album like this is pretty irrelevant (see also: all of Drake's recent albums). Not that it's gone down that well with its intended audience either by the looks of things.
I think Pitchfork actually nailed it, I think I would have even been harder, especially about the lazy and lacklustre collaborations

Not "I suppose it's okay" lmao I'd be so ashamed and not release it.

She couldn’t have disliked it too much, they’re now officially in a relationship!

I had an inkling this might end up being the case!
