Well it had to happen- Madonna loses the first of her 4 entries just shy of the top 70.

French Kiss is one of the best dance singles of the 80s. Snubbed here by the dance mod. :D The woman 'screaming' part is iconic. I'd love to listen to it in a club tonight. :drama:

Crazy For You is so annoying and cheesy imo.

Wasn’t expecting Crazy For You to exit first for Madonna, it’s definitely better than Holiday for me
My favourites over the last few pages - King Love and Pride - great upbeat dancey new wave tune one of the last hits of the new wave genre, Mirror Man by Human League - great electronic update of the 60s Northern soul sound and When A Man Loves A Woman by Percy Sledge - an epic and emotive track, the backing music reminds me a lot of Procol Harum - Whiter Shade of Pale, both seem to have a classical music influenced organ sound and both have a very soulful vocal!

Winters Tale is my favourite of the last few to go out and Crazy For You ain't too bad either. Not really a fan of any of the others.

'My Oh My' Slade did so many better songs over the Christmas one for me, 'Far Far Away' is another goodie of theirs which I think was #2 peaker in the 70's.

Love 'Crazy For You' as well <3

Our preferred “Happy Birthday” on this rate

Like all 3 that dropped today. That's definitely the most interesting Happy Birthday track I know and I Can't Wait is very funky.

oh poor Crazy for You, was a big fan of the song, even bought the Vision Quest vinyl just to have Crazy for You!!!

the rest, don't really like anything at all from the last few days

See Those Eyes is easily my favourite of Altered Images' hits, Happy Birthday and I Could Be Happy are quite good I suppose but they are a bit over jolly for my tastes!

Crazy For You is a good emotive ballad, if a bit cheesy. I like the clarinet? in it. It's more 1988 sounding (when cheesy love song ballads were everywhere) than 1985 I think!

I can't Wait is a good R&B tune, paving the way for the 90s dominance of the genre.

How funny, it's a dance track imo. :P

Surprisingly my top 2 dance faves of the 80s are still to come. :w00t:
