A few days ago Architects surprise released a new single! 'when we were young' is the first release from the Brighton band since their first #1 album 'For Those That Wish to Exist' last year. It's nothing massively different for them but it's got a really nice groove in the verses.

Surprise! New album 'the classic symptom of a broken spirit' was announced the other day for release on October 21st, and that was accompanied by new single 'tear gas'. Lots of fans aren't too impressed with their slightly lighter sound but tbh I rate it over their older stuff, that was just a little too heavy for me! I like the industrial rock vibes of their new stuff.

Tracklisting:

1. deep fake

2. tear gas

3. spit the bone

4. burn down my house

5. living is killing us

6. when we were young

7. doomscrolling

8. born again pessimist

9. a new moral low ground

10. all the love in the world

11. be very afraid

I appear to be in a minority of absolutely preferring this sort of stuff from them than previous efforts, but then I'm a sucker for this type of rock music. tear gas is another banger tbh.

Same here, but tbh I think it's more a case of angry metal fans being more vocal than others. Seeing as their album sales/tour venues have increased a lot in recent years.
tear gas is not light by any means and issa bop x
I'm a bit unsure of their new songs. I mean, it's ok but they're clearly going for a much more commercial sound, it's just a bit odd that they've decide to look back to the late '90s for inspiration

Hmm it's probably my least favourite of the 3 so far, but it's decent. Just a bit unmemorable really, but that breakdown is brilliant!

Good old Radio 1, always about 5 months behind what's happening in the alt scene

‘a new moral low ground’ released yesterday ahead of the album next week. Easily my favourites of the singles, and thankfully it’s going down very well with fans too. That guitar solo!
