June 30, 20223 yr Author I would go with 'One More Time', 'Ms. Jackson' and 'Starlight' so not much deviation from the consensus from me either. Apart from to give an absolute no to 'Teenage Dirtbag', I will leave early if you play that xx Ok so you’d leave early if I played Teenage Dirtbag… But if I moved the #2s to the beginning and went with your favourite 3 would you arrive on time? :kink:
June 30, 20223 yr One More Time, Ms Jackson & Teenage Dirtbag get my votes. But Starlight and MOTD are both great too.

July 7, 20223 yr Author Number 2s selection for this week - interestingly we’re moving into a period where there were more #2 than #1 leakers as the turnover slowed down at the top. 728 Puretone - Addicted To Bass 2002 729 Pink - Get The Party Started 2002 730 A1 - Caught In The Middle 2002 731 No Doubt - Hey Baby 2002 732 S Club 7 - You 2002 733 Shakira - Whenever Wherever 2002 734 Shaggy & Ali G - Me Julie 2002 735 Britney Spears - I'm Not A Girl Not Yet A Woman 2002 736 X-Press 2 feat. Sean Paul - Baby Boy 2003
July 7, 20223 yr Dido - White Flag, JT - Cry me a river and Shakira are probably my favourites but many great ones also like Pink-Get the part started and RS-Sweet Dreams my LA ex :)
July 7, 20223 yr I'd nominate The Logical Song, By The Way and I Believe In A Thing Called Love; my next choices would be Little By Little and Like I Love You.
July 7, 20223 yr 'Cry Me A River' and 'In My Place' are definitely my top 2 from that lot, third place is a lot harder to choose as I think there are a lot there that I like about the same amount - perhaps leaning towards 'Year 3000' for the pure nostalgia. But most of the other songs mentioned in the last 2 posts aren't far off (particularly Dido, P!nk and RHCP).
July 7, 20223 yr I'll nominate Cry Me a River, White Flag and I Believe in a Thing Called Love as they are three different genres by artists we won't hear a number 1 from (in this session at least for one case). I do also love Wherever Whenever, By The Way, In My Place and both Oasis ones, the latter are miles better than the number 1 we will be hearing from them.
July 7, 20223 yr Justin Timberlake is a must, his first 3 singles from Justified all went to #2 and all were really great
July 7, 20223 yr Author Just thinking that as it’s a really good list and both White Flag and I Believe In A Thing Called Love are on the bubble between this week and next week I could save one or both of those. Next week’s selection isn’t looking quite so promising.
July 7, 20223 yr Yes, looking ahead I think it's only Can't Stand Me Now that I'd push for next week, assuming the #1s stop shortly before Amarillo. Having said that, there are some killer #3s in the same timeframe (pun intended as always).
July 7, 20223 yr That trio of Logical Song, Stop Crying Your Heart Out and By The Way peaking at #2 gets my vote, damn you Elvis remix. But a fair amount of great stuff on that list. If Justin gets a slot due to his high number of #2s in this era does the same apply to S Club Juniors lol?
July 7, 20223 yr 'Cry Me A River' getting my vote has nothing to do with how many #2s he has for the record, it's just a really good song. x
July 7, 20223 yr Ooh there's still more than 3 I'd be happy to hear but if I had to narrow it down... Dido - White Flag Justin Timberlake - Cry Me A River Shakira - Whenever Wherever
July 8, 20223 yr ^the correct top 3 <3 from memory I cannot think of any even semi-decent #2 from late 2003/2004, can only think of terrible songs
