May 21, 20223 yr Just like it has been in the past and for BJSC. I would suggest a lot of the rules for PFSC need revising before the next contest. Last edition I had it for 2 weeks actually but I agree a lot of the rules need revisiting ;)
May 21, 20223 yr oh goodness there has been a lot of complaints this edition… Meh, feel like I should have just kept it in the scrap heap. If people are feeling very vocal about it, then it would have been nice to have some of you offer to host instead of me going on a PM mission for months and months. Next edition rules and voting system will be revised. I’ll do some work on it in the summer months when I have more time. ☺️
May 21, 20223 yr I think one week is more than enough when there were no other song contests going on and less than two hours of music to listen to. If it was two weeks, some people will still leave it to the last day.
May 21, 20223 yr Yeah, one week deadline is enough. It isn't new and is usually the length of these contests lmao. Honestly, the hosts should come up with the rules. Cameron can come up with some grounded rules (like most of what's in the first post like "no top 40 hits", "artist can't have an Artist Forum on this site" etc..) but in terms of the contest itself, it has to be a contest by contest basis. As long as you don't remove the rules Cameron set in place, add whatever rules you want to your contest. The only thing I'd agree with would be tighter veto'ing checks. There's only one song this contest that I'd have vetoed in a "Free Choice" round and that would have been Charlotte Sands, but it's really not a big deal lmao.
May 21, 20223 yr I don't really think a lot needs to be changed, just a no-go on past BJSC top 10 hits (although that was in the original rules anyway) and maybe recent BJSC vetoes as well. Voting duration is entirely down to the host and the 18-point system should only be used when there are over 40 entries. Nothing that anyone needs to lose sleep over and the majority of these were fine! (I had a pretty solid set of votes for this in the end, winners have to be the Soap Girls, let's make it happen x)
