23rd place and our second song in the countdown... MAKE IT EASY!

I've always adored this song it is such an easy listening track and it stood out to me from the first listen of Steptacular. It the only album track on that album I go back to now otherwise it is just the singles I listen to on Steptacular.

I actually surprised myself slightly with how high this rated when I was compiling my list.

I don't mind make it easy on me but it wouldn't be anywhere near my own faves.

Same here but again, it could affect our ultimate countdown which I’m here for! Let the surprises continue!

This!

Bring on the rest :cheer:

Its great seeing the variations in the countdowns, while a few songs we all love each countdown has songs that others havnt picked which will really spice up the ultimate countdown.

In 22nd position we go back to What The Future Holds Part 2 and the lead single from that era TAKE ME FOR A RIDE!

When this song was first released I thought it was pretty terrible tbh and it wasn't until I saw the music video and a performance on This Morning that is suddenly really clicked for me as to how catchy it actually is! It has grown to be my in my favourite Steps tracks. The album version is much better with the lead up to the song which gives it that extra oomph. It's great having solo vocals from all the members on the track, I love how more members are given more opportunities to shine with the comeback from Tears onwards.

Side note, the music video for this is truly stunning, a very simple concept but it is visually amazing!

You really woke up and chose chaos! The ultimate rate will be great!

When I first heard take me for a ride I liked it but felt it was a grower but it went the opposite way and Iiked it less, I don't dislike it but don't find it memorable.
Oh, surprised to see this one here! Though I’m not the ‘regular hater’ as it’s definitely not one of their worst. I really enjoy the eighties vibe and the fact they tried something different!

Just missing out on a place in my top 20 it is one of Step's great cover versions! This time it's a return cover and the honour goes to Story of a heart. I feel like this was a perfect cover for Steps its a real nod to their Abba style and actually this song sounds like it could have easily have been on Abba's Voyage album too! (Yes I know it is written by the Abba guys lol). The video for it is really cute too, love seeing the merch they have clearly saved over the years must be so cool to have your own cds and merchandise!

I thought this was a real highlight of the Party tour too with the backdrop and the dancers coming out in the costumes on the sides. Was so nostalgic and weirdly touching.

You really are shaking it up!

I do like this video to be fair!
