amazed everybody loves the Babylon Zoo so much and even call it a classic

for me, if something, i'd call it the biggest disappointment ever... loved the ad, the music in those few seconds in the ad were incredible... and then the full song was released... and it was not it... biggest disappointment ever, and If you had been there back in the day, you'd probably had been disappointed too

Were you envisioning something more like this?

I like the grunge part of the Babylon Zoo song more than the intro. It's iconic that people were tricked into buying a grunge song assuming it'd be like the intro all the way through.

I concur with the Babylon Zoo record being one of the biggest disappointments of the 90s. I remember hearing the full version for the first time on Top of the Pops and I was quite anti guitar music at the time so once the guitar came in I'd lost all hope of it being any good.

That aside, generally listening to any tune at a slower speed than it's meant to be is painful. We were used to the advert speed, but the actual chorus was much slower which made it painful listening.

Some might argue that the song was written at the slower speed and that the sped up bit was the painful listening :kink:

Can I write in for a Space Cowboy?

Out of the options, Sam would be my pick.

The was a remix of babylon Zoo where it is fast at the start then slows down then it speeds back up at the end. I can no long seem to find the mix though 🙈.

Maybe. I'm just using my own perspective where in the beginning all I knew was what was on the Levi's advert.

Voted for Sam and I love how this poll is close. :P
