Chelsea have joined the race to sign Leeds winger Raphinha.

 

The Brazil international has been the subject of a bid from Arsenal and interest from Barcelona.

 

Leeds would be looking for more than £50m for Raphinha, who they signed from Rennes for £17m two years ago.

Southampton have made contact with Manchester City and are in talks about a deal for Romeo Lavia.

 

The 18 year old holding midfielder is highly-rated by City but they understand any potential move to Southampton would be good for his career.

 

The discussed fee is believed to be around £10 million rising to £12m.

Romelu Lukaku is officially an Inter Milan player again after completing his season-long loan move from Chelsea, with no obligation to buy.

 

Inter will pay Chelsea a loan fee of £6.9m plus £3.5m in bonuses if they win the Scudetto, and will cover all his wages this season.

Manchester United have an agreement in principle with Feyenoord over the signing of left-back Tyrell Malacia and are optimistic about completing the deal.

 

The fee is believed to be £13m with add-ons of £1.7m. The deal is expected to include a sell-on clause.

Just seems like a totally mad signing. I get the need for more squad depth, but £60m for someone who won't start ahead of Son or Kane seems mad. I wonder if he is the long term Kane replacement when he packs his packs next summer.

Kane still has 2 seasons left to suffer though? And maybe Rich will rotate with Kulu but given the latter's form and quickly he settled in the prem I can't see it happening too regularly...

Nah he doesn't care about that, he wants trophies now which is understandable. Don't forget how unprofessional he was at the start of last season missing training and barely putting a shift in the matches. 1 goal in the league before Christmas or something like that.

I think he has 2 years left on his contract this summer. I suspect someone will end up paying £40-50m for him next summer or he will just leave on a free the following year. Can't see Levy wanting to give him away for free and I don't think he will sign another contract there.

Salah staying at Liverpool for another 3 years (well 2 seasons more at least I suspect). That's the big one - think we will be pretty quiet on the transfer front now unless one of our midfield targets becomes available, which seems unlikely.

It was never in doubt that Salah would stay with Liverpool really. Maybe this will be his last contract extension, I can't imagine he'll stay beyond that unless he wants to end his career with Liverpool but even then he wont have the kind of impact that he has now.

Not sure. I was pretty resigned to him leaving on a free next summer as it didn’t look like there was a breakthrough coming. Most other Liverpool fans were the same and the extension came out of nowhere to be honest. But reading between the lines his salary is entirely based on bonuses and trophies to reach the top tier.
