Posted May 26, 20223 yr 22nd May 2022 It's still Hope on top in all of it's cowboy twangy guitar fabness presiding over a still brilliant top 5 for me, while one Eurovision track leaps another at 6 and 7, Duran make it another top 10 around about 20 or so in 40 years while Sigrid gets a first after 4 previous attempts over the last 4 years. Wrabel has a big top climb, Tears For Fears a big top 30 climb, while Suggs n Weller, Liam Gallagher, Thomas Rhett all leap up into the 40. Second-Highest new entry is the unexpected collab between Diana Ross and Tame Impala for the Minions movie, already her most interesting track in 36 years, and her 3rd in her comeback. Pity its not an entire album, Diana's quality threshold improves when she hands over the reigns to great writer-producers and drops the bland overly-sentimental schlock, and she has made some corkers in her 60-year career, starting in my charts with the total classic social commentary of Love Child with The Supremes 54 years ago! In one fell swoop Diana holds the current longest chart-span with new material again with only Paul McCartney, Tom Jones or Barry Gibb in a position to overhaul her at the moment. Gibb of course wrote & produced her last great record, Chain Reaction.Turn Up The Sunshine is at 37. Harry Styles new album is out, and I've cherry-picked the best track (no need thank me) Grapejuice at 31, and Late Night Talking at 78. It's very pleasant overall, but on one listen it's not got the sheer number of potential singles of the last album. Maybe they will grow on me though. Vangelis sadly died this week, and in tribute his 1980 chart-topper with Jon Anderson of Yes, I Hear You Now, returns at 39 to boost it's position in my All-Time Top 900 chart. It's so lovely. That leaves a catchy new entry from Alfie Templeman, who debuts and is new to me, with Colour Me Blue, Ed Sheeran keeping up the pace of singles at 1 a day (or something like it) as 2Step sneaks in with Lil baby on tow. Hope he has child safety seat. Finally, Tove Lo is back as her Duran Duran chart-topping track exited a week ago. I missed a week last week because I was on holiday so I guess we're in the same boat 🤣 I really wasn't a fan of spaceman before Eurovision, it just didn't grab me but I'm enjoying it now. I'm loving free at the moment. I've noticed that about her songs this era. They're very easy on the ears but they get a bit boring quite quickly I think. That remix of frozen is fantastic. O had heard it on tiktok prior to this but it's fab. I think when you're gone and run have both more or less run their course for me. We'll see. In No.ome does from love is already my fave song is tove Lo's discography. What a song! Fab chart ^_^

Florence always sounds decent, but getting the anthems from yesteryear doesnt seem to be such a priority, My Love apart, but her decent is someone else's good :) When You're Gone and Run are both in the process of being evicted too, time for fresh stuff! :lol: Tove Lo is one of the fresh ones soon as I get it on my ipod this weekend.
