Thanks, hopefully they have a few things up their sleeves for the run in to Christmas. Not that I expect it to be a big seller or anything, it’d just be nice to see it shift a few more copies.

I would imagine Lisa will be back in Dubai by October. Surely her visa only allows her here for a certain amount of time?

Isn’t she a citizen? Can she not comeback at anytime for as long as she likes? (I’m not sure how it works).

For tax reasons there might be a limit pending on where she pays her taxes.

Hopefully it will trickle sale better than the other albums I was really hoping it would go Gold but am now settling for the hope it eventually goes Silver.

If the Platinum Collection can remain in the lower end of the Top 100 it still would not make Silver Certification by the end of the year :(

Honestly I think Platinum Collection reaching #1 was the main goal with this release and it was achieved, so mission accomplished as far as Steps are concerned. I don't think they're going to be massively concerned about how quickly or slowly this album eventually certifies. It surely will one day though.

 

I personally don't think certifications have the same kudos that they used to. Songs and albums are so reliant on streaming units in order to reach those sales goals, and if you don't have that on side then it's inevitably going to be an uphill struggle. It doesn't provide the full picture that Steps are relatively strong physical sellers in the opening weeks on sale. Making the money they do from their formats is surely way more preferable to them than to have a stronger presence on streaming, because for them it would have to be unrealistically stronger to even come close to being equivalent to the physical sales.

Reaching Number 1 does appear to have been the goal which they achieved the historic Number 1 they wanted.
