Unless they constantly promoted it though (which is unrealistic) there's a ceiling to how much Platinum Collection is going to sell physically a few weeks into its life. Their streaming is never going to reach the levels required for it to be the main driving force behind getting an album of theirs to achieve certification status levels more easily.

A lot of albums today technically don't "keep selling well" but the consistent streaming units mask that fact.

Totally agree about the streaming masking over actual sales, I'm sure there are many albums selling more actual albums but losing out been on the chart due to streaming.
I agree about streaming and not because it affects acts that i like such as Steps, its more that certain albums will be on the chart forever as they are getting 3 songs streamed from it. I wonder where the platinum collection will be this week, hopefully its still top 75 when we see the mids later today.

#91 in today's midweeks

It's not so surprising. I guess it'll struggle to hold onto the Top 100 for a 4th week.

Number 5 has sold 2,473 so I'd say sales are very close down the chart, a type of week where 200 sales could make the difference between been at 61 or 91.

Down to #105 in today's midweeks, meh! 813 sales so far, 290 is from streaming.

If the chart was sales only then it's currently the 26th best seller of the week so far. So that reinforces just how much they're pushed down the chart because of streaming.

To be honest their pure sales have collapsed. They've only sold 523 pure sales. 437 CDs, 47 vinyl, 38 downloads and 1 cassette.

I think it's time for their label to discount items, but they're not budging so far - everything is still full price.

Ya some price reductions might help in some small way, bit disappointed for it to only have 3 weeks top 100.

Whereas it's at #21 in both the sales chart and the physical chart:

01-06-13-21 [sales]

01-08-13-21 [Physicals]

Which isn't too bad. Yungblud fell from #1 to #22 in the sales and physicals chart. And #1 to #71 in the official albums chart.
