Lampard is the epitome of why you don't just give a Premier league job to someone just cos they were a great player.

They'll sack him and get in Dyche I reckon, I don't think they'll go down as there's definitely 3 worse squads in the league.

I agree the season before he was Derby manager Gary Rowett did exactly the same job as Lamapard but of course Lamps went on to be Chelsea boss the following year!

It feels like the situation at Everton is allowing the appalling job David Moyes is doing seems to go very under the radar. West Ham spent more money last summer than Forest did, who received almost universal criticism for spending that much, to strengthen a squad that had qualified for Europe in successive seasons, and they're in the relegation zone at the half way point.

Forest hitting 20 points in 13th after half a season is really impressive, really starting to come together now and Gibbs-White is showing his class, he's some player and will prove to be worth every penny.

Moyes has done an excellent job at West Ham (up to this season) they were not far off the top 4 2 seasons running in comparison to where they were before tbf
Arsenal celebrating at the end of the North London derby as if they've already won the league. Calm down, there's still another 19 or so games to go.

They probably have won the league from here on in though, City need Liverpool to be able to motivate them and Newcastle/Man Utd just don't have the legs imo to get to 90 points, which is what Arsenal are on course for.

If Arsenal don't win it now it would be the biggest bottle job in Premier league history. They play us next who are the only team to have beaten them so far this season so that's gonna be a tasty one.
😂 bottlers even though they are only 7 points ahead with no experience of winning the title in 20 years

Kevin Keegan's Newcastle might dispute that

Man Utd had a lead of the same points in April with 6 games to go and managed to lose it, including a a 4-4 in which they lead by two goals at home. It's a bit of a stretch to say a team losing it from the half way point could be a bigger bottle job than that.
Arsenal have been well protected with their fixture list so far. They haven't even played Man City at all, they've got to play United again in a few days, they've got to go away to Newcastle and Liverpool. Those are all matches they could very feasibly lose and they've got another half season's worth of games to play, let's not forget this is largely the same group of players that finished 8th two seasons in a row in recent years. Their lead is impressive and they deserve to be top at the moment but the league table doesn't paint the full picture right now.

They are ny far and away the best team in the league this year. Arteta has got his team playing and they came in to the season with no pressure. City have given up and Liverpool have provided no competition this year. The fixtures fell kind for them at the start, but they don't even need to go to the likes of the Etihad and Anfield and get a result, they can take a draw and be happy. They've got a lot of luck this season, but you need that to win the title. The key will be next season when they have to balance expectations of being a challenger and going again in the league.

I expect it's pretty rare that we reach the half way point of the season and none of the three promoted teams find themselves in the bottom three relegation spots ?

No way City have given up. Pep wouldn't allow it.

Brentford midfielder Mathias Jensen has signed a new three-year deal with the Premier League club.

The Danish international has been with the Bees since the summer of 2019 and has played 152 times for the club.

Bees boss Thomas Frank said: "I think he has been one of our best players so far this season, after a stop-start season last year when he was unlucky with injuries and illness. He is showing what he can offer the team and the potential he has.

Wonder whether Southgate will still persist with the idea that Pickford is England’s no.1 GK if he’s playing in the Championship…

Newcastle extended their unbeaten run to a club-record 15 top-flight games with their third goalless draw against Crystal Palace this season.

He'll end up at Spurs or Man Utd come next season, I'd put good money on it.

If we go from De Gea to Pickford that'll be a disaster. But he's probably an upgrade on today's version of Lloris.
