June 17, 20223 yr Surprised to see Wow in the top 10 as I don't think I have ever seen it on her 10 most streamed tracks on Spotify. Also pretty sure she never relased an album called "She's Having A Baby" :kink:

Also pretty sure she never relased an album called "She's Having A Baby" :kink: Yeah, they definitely got muddled on that last part. It was initially released as part of the movie soundtrack for the film ‘She’s Having A Baby’ before being included on the A Sensual World album I believe.
June 17, 20223 yr I thought The hounds of love would be higher thanks to some boosts because of it being excessivly covered in the live lounge.
June 17, 20223 yr 9 DON'T GIVE UP PETER GABRIEL & KATE BUSH 1986 9 On Spotify, Kate Bush oddly doesn't get a credit on that song (only Peter Gabriel does) and therefore it doesn't appear on her artist page. It's also not included on 'This Is Kate Bush'. It has 32.5m streams on Spotify though which does make it one of her most listened to songs there regardless. I wonder if her lack of credit does limit it somewhat though and that it could be achieving even better numbers?
June 17, 20223 yr She should be credited on Shake it Off by Florence, as ir is a rip off of Hounds of Love.
June 19, 20223 yr Some similarities to Kate but sure different enough to enjoy on their own merits too. Florence rocks much harder on occasion and of course tours all the time. Back to the Kate Bush list, shame but not really a surprise nothing from 'The Dreaming' - if I had to choose taking that album or the entirety of the rest of her collection to a desert Island it would be a very though decision.
June 19, 20223 yr I felt they tried to market Lana Del Rey as this generation's Kate Bush. I am NOT saying they are the same or as good as each other, or even that their music is similar, just how the label markets Lana. I guess a lot of this applies to Florence too, but they work hard in the first couple of years to make them famous, get them a few hit songs and a sizeable fanbase, and then once they've done that they can just release albums forever that can sell well with comparatively little promotion. Also Summertime Sadness and Spectrum = Something Good, that's another parallel.
