No move yet for Jordan Spieth. A par-par start and the 2017 Royal Birkdale champion is stranded in tied 40th. There’s a feeling that 18-20 under might be needed to win this so that leaves Spieth, currently -4, requiring a miracle really.

Would like Cameron Smith to win as he was unlucky at the Masters!

Rooting for Hovland, was great today but McIlroy is far more experienced so probably will be him, but both played great today

He pulled through in the end!

But rather than him winning Id say McIlroy lost it

He played too safe

The anorwegian guy chickened out too sadly

Glad McIlroy got beat he annoys me!

He was really the best yesterday and deserved it over McIlroy
