Albums:

overrated; hmm i don't know, but hmm maybe merry christmas? i totally love that album but i

underrated: butterfly - this album should have got many grammys.. its so soul and r&b crossover with pop..,

2. Charmbracelet: i mean hello clown, bringin' on the heartbreak, yours, ttr and lullaby, subtle invitation (+ there goes my heart) i mean its her 2nd best album lyrically after butterfly and the music is great too.

3. glitter lead the way is her strongest nostalgic ballad she did this decade her best pop ballad. i love the loverboy remix and twister great album

her most ever underrated song (no single) was the beautiful ones, which i think is her best duet ever and her strongest by her voice.. this song cried for a grammy, but was ignored as always.

I agree with what you said about all the albums! The Merry Christmas one is over rated, and Butterfly should have got atleast 5 grammies! I loved Charmy and Glitter too, both deserved to sell more :(
loverboys and cant take this away from me  one of my fave songs of hers
I agree about Butterfly, she should have won every award there was possible to win for that masterpiece.
I am growing to love it more and more, still prefer Mariah Carey and Daydream though

I see them as different genres really. I don't like Daydream though.

I see Mariah Carey as a real hardcore POP album, full of pop hits, many of which could have been released.

Whereas I see Butterfly as a much more mature, emotional, R&B album, which is why I love it.

I agree with you, I think Someday is probably as close as Mariah Carey the album gets to mature! Butterfly is just amazing for emotion though. Butterfly has to be one of her most emotional songs
