December 21, 200618 yr Sorry, I meant Comic Relief earlier. And I'm glad both girl bands used the time between the Greatest Hits and their next albums to do something together, regardless of how lame this might turn out.
December 21, 200618 yr Author Lol, sugababes vs girls aloud fans already i see lol Nah I love the babes too. It's just annoying when someone starts complaining before hearing the song, above all when it's about saying it won't be good for the babes as the GA are too bad for them... It'll be pure fun and the two bands get on so fan fights are really boring
December 21, 200618 yr true, i adore both bands and its really hard for me to say who i like best, although it would be by a tiny margin sugababes, cant wait to hear it though, im sure it will be part of my cd collection
December 21, 200618 yr another cover...... cant they write their own???? lol....how embarrasing.... when will peopke wake up and see that their absolutely talentless???? the only people that like them is niave little 10 year old girls who dont even know what a bassline is and their dream job is to be "A pop star".......idiots

December 21, 200618 yr For a start.... The original was recorded by Aerosmith in the early 1970s, and it had no rapping, it was a basic hard rock tune... Run DMC teamed up with Aerosmith in the 80s and did a modern version of it, which absolutely ROCKS!!! Girls Aloud and Sugababes even thinking they could touch Aerosmith/Run DMC....???  To 'Poprocks 87', you criticise ElPres for not 'getting' Pop music, but I think it's plain for all with ears to hear that Girls Aloud/Sugababes have no concept of what 'Rock' is, Rappers seem to understand the dynamics of Hard Rock/Heavy Metal (and vice versa) a lot more than manufactured Pop Stars do.....
December 21, 200618 yr Personally, I think it'll be quite funny hearing Girls Aloud singing a song about pulling and perving on girls getting changed...
December 21, 200618 yr Author Come on it's just two big pop bands who will have fun covering a classic song, I can't see what's wrong with it... really... Arctic Monkeys are not doing pop but they did a brillant cover of "Love machine" coz they had fun doing it, and aswell GA and Sugababes will have fun covering a rock song, even if they're not rock acts.

Funnily enough, Rock acts seem to do a better job of covering Pop songs... Must be something to do with actually having some musical talent which leads to knowing instinctively how to approach a song.... :P

You're getting a bit obsessed about this duet, get a life.
December 21, 200618 yr And funnily enough rock fans have got a high pretention when it comes to what they listen, while pop fans are open to any kind of music. You're getting a bit obsessed about this duet, get a life. Get a sense of humour... You're an idiot if you thought I was being entirely serious (I'd've thought the smileys would've given you some sort of clue, obviously not....) Sorry, if I dont take fluffy Pop music seriously.... Maybe if these acts just knew their limitations and stopped trying to horn in on summat else to try and get some cred, I might be able to just ignore it.... But, it does seem that Girls Aloud are a bit vociferous at the old Covers..... And by the way, I've been just as critical of Marilyn Manson and his bloody awful covers of "Tainted Love" and "Personal Jesus" (mind you, at least he never fukked around with the lyrics of the originals...), so dont think it's all just a one-way street...

The Original is a classic aerosmith song, I prefer it to the Run DMC version, which I also love
December 21, 200618 yr You're getting a bit obsessed about this duet, get a life. Are you trying to be funny? From what I can see I don't think Grimly gives a toss about Girls Aloud and Sugababes
December 21, 200618 yr Are you trying to be funny? From what I can see I don't think Grimly gives a toss about Girls Aloud and Sugababes  I don't, I just dont like classic songs being mucked around with, simple as (and "Walk This Way" is a childhood thing for me..). If it was bloody Manson up to his old tricks again, I'd more than likely be rolling my eyes at that as well.... I'm not a big fan of Cover Versions generally... I've heard some right crackers to be sure, but it's mostly sh!t done for the wrong reasons...
December 21, 200618 yr This track is an early contender for worst track of 2007 and could successfully torpedo both acts (limited) credibility. :puke2:
December 21, 200618 yr You're kidding aint you, considering they couldn't bring themselves to say the word 'condom', you think the lyrics of the Run DMC/Aerosmith version will survive intact....?? Oh good pont -_-
