Liverpool have agreed a deal with Bayern Munich to sell Luis Diaz.

The total fee is €75m (£65.5m)

The player, who has two years remaining on his contract at Liverpool, now has permission to leave the club’s Asia tour.

He is currently in Tokyo with the team, but will look to travel in the next 24 hours.

    Shocking news

  • He certainly does deserve a lot of credit but to see him lift the trophy in a parade would be very John Terry Champions League final 2012 🤣

Yeh they were massivrly up for it and thoroughly deserved to win. If anyone other than Liverpool I’m glad a team like Newcastle won it as it’s been so long!

Decent £££ for Diaz but his altheticism and goals/assists will be hard to replace. Reackon he may have left for free in two years so good deal. Need a replacement now……

Diaz's replacement is Isak. Seems like we will go in to the season with Isak, Etikete, Gakpo and Salah as our front attackers, knowing that Wirtz, Szbo, Frimpong and Ngouma can all cover minutes there. I think we're slightly short, but just not sure a long term target is available.

Lyon are in talks with Liverpool over a possible deal for midfielder Tyler Morton.

The 22-year-old has been the subject of a number of enquiries this summer from clubs in the UK, as well as Europe.

Braga, Ipswich, Strasbourg and West Ham have all expressed an interest.

Sky Sports News understands any deal could be worth around £15m.

Al-Hilal have reached an agreement to sign Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez for 53m euros (£46.3m)

Nunez is now expected to undergo a medical ahead of his move to the Saudi Pro League.

The 26-year-old Uruguay international joined the Reds in June 2022 from Portuguese side Benfica for an initial fee of £64m.

Leaves is a bit light in attacking areas but there zero way I could see us getting rid of Nunez and Diaz without replacements.

All in for Isak then do you think? @Rooney @Steve201

Yes, Isak. Suspect we will go back in for him shortly, even if Newcastle haven’t sorted a replacement.

Darwin Nunez has completed his move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal from Liverpool on a three-year deal.

The Uruguyan striker was sold for a fixed fee of £46.2m (€53m) plus add-ons that could take the deal to £56.6m (€65m).

Had some great moments and I do think what could have been, but he just didn't turn in to an elite striker. I imagine he'll do a season in Saudi and then come back to Europe.

Apu from the Simpsons: “He missed some sitters, couldn’t speak a word of English, but by god he was the best damn striker we ever had”

🤣

In all seriousness though, he gave us some great moments:

  • Two goals in the last 5 mins vs Newcastle when we were down to 10 men

  • Winner in the last minute away to Brentford in January which basically won us the league

  • Winner vs Forest last season in the last minute

  • Running into the pitch when we won the league cup when he was injured

I just enjoy the charity shield and seeing the new strips, new players and new season start, winning would be a bonus!

Its on TNT Sports in the UK with the new deal happening this season with that and the FA Cup. No longer on ITV.

Disappointed, had it in my head it’d be on itv like it has been in recent years.

There's not even highlights of the game on BBC One. Oh well I'll have to make do with YouTube highlights.
