Peas' new LP 'almost finished'

Black Eyed Peas have revealed that their next LP is "almost finished" and is set for release in late 2007.

 

The currently untitled new album will be the follow-up to 2005's 'Monkey Business'.

 

Will.I.Am told Billboard: "We have 12 songs and we'll probably do another 30 or 40 songs."

 

He added that the new record deals with some social and political issues, but "it's still a fun record".

 

He explained: "We are not complaining. It's not, 'Oh, everything messed up! Oh my gosh, we're doomed!' It's a thinking record. It brings up what's happening in the world. 'Monkey Business' didn't do that."

 

But it seems the band is still hungry for success, as Will.I.Am revealed: "We're afraid of losing what got us here, and that was humbleness and hunger. It's easier now than it was in 1996.

 

"But it's still that fear of losing that drive and motivation and determination now that you've accomplished something. That's what's scary to us."

im glad they aint split either,i was sure the next release would be a greatest hits then a gap an dthen a new album,we dont have long to wait at all now

SO glad that they are sticking together, I hope they can do atleast 5 studio albums atleast. As only Fergie is worth a c**p outisde of the group IMO.

I like Fergie solo

I think the quick Fergie gets back to BEPs the better, as a solo artist she is no-where near up to the standards of some of the stuff BEPs made as a group. I hope this BEPs album is slightly more similar to 'Elephunk,' as I don't think 'Monkey Business,' was quite as good. Another reason Fergie was better when she was in BEPs is that she is attempting a very similar sound to Nelly Furtado who is better, Fergie can return as a solo artist when she has the help of Timbaland. :lol:
