The King of Popcorn; Jackson Takes His Kids To Movies In Mullingar

EXCLUSIVE

Michael Jackson got into the festive spirit by taking his children to see a Christmas movie - in Mullingar.

The superstar, 48, stunned staff at the cinema when he arrived for a private screening of the Santa Clause 3.

His children Prince, nine, Paris, eight, and four-year-old Blanket were also with him and wore veils covering their faces as they sped past employees at the IMC Cinema in Co Westmeath.

And generous Michael played Santa Claus when he paid for his popcorn with a e100 note and told kiosk attendant Shane to keep the change.

An onlooker said: "A huge people carrier pulled up outside and Michael got out and the two bodyguards led his children in."

"He brought them to the food kiosk and ordered popcorn, sweets and four large colas. He was in great spirits and seemed very relaxed and chatted away to staff."

"One guy got a e70 tip when Michael told him to keep the change from a e100 note."

Jackson has been living in Ireland for the past three months and is trying to find a huge countryside property to set up a permanent home.

The onlooker added: "Michael had the whole screening to himself and one of the bodyguards stayed in with him while another kept watch at the door outside.

"His assistants seemed anxious to keep Michael's presence a secret and as soon as the film ended they were whisked straight back to his car."

Jackson has been holding meetings with Point owner Harry Crosbie to get advice on property investment around Dublin.

The moonwalking star has also been secretly recording a new album at the Grouse Lodge studios in Co Westmeath.

A source close to the star said: "He really loves Ireland because he doesn't get hounded by the paparazzi."

"Michael wants to make a permanent home here and it's just a matter of finding the right place."
