Yeah was going to suggest that! I had been revisiting that song recently anyway because of it finally being released on streaming (sadly Trugoy not living to see the rest of the album finally being made available :()

Curiously 'The Magic Number' is the only single from that album that doesn't have its own Wikipedia article (it redirects to the album) despite being their highest charting song in the UK, and certainly the one I am most familiar with. (Also find it a bit odd that the members of De La Soul have Wikipedia articles that use their real names instead of their stage names)

Bré, could you post the tracklist if you have a sec? tak

Oops I really thought I had already posted the tracklist for last week but apparently I didn't! Sorry will finally do that today.

Btw I know I literally said last week that I don't want to deviate from doing 3 hours of songs per week lol but decided to make this week's session a slightly shorter one (2 hours + bonuses) as there's another BJSC listenthrough happening at 8pm and I want to leave a little bit of space between them. Should be back to normal scheduling next week.

Indeed, lots of great indie/rock stuff in the last session in particular (The Killers, The View, Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Linkin Park, The White Stripes, Editors + a lot of the bonus tracks). And utterly iconic to finish on 'The Salmon Dance' :cheeseblock: The Chemical Brothers the new Blur being the closing act in 2 of the last 3 weeks. Justin Timberlake, Amy Winehouse and Rihanna also good standouts from the last session

Not too much in the way of great discoveries from the last 2 sessions - mainly as I've heard most of the good stuff already - but I remember enjoying Stereophonics' 'Devil' and Take That's 'Reach Out'. Plus Eminem's 'When I'm Gone' was a lot better than I remember it being.

Thanks Bré for the comprehensive tracklists, and the impromptu Figgy tribute on Sunday (for context, I only found out she had passed away when my Mum called earlier in the session).

Looks like the listenthrough for the BJSC final is at 7.30-10.30pm on Sunday, so another marathon day in store! I'll need at least 30 mins in between sessions, I guess similar for others - any thoughts on an earlier finish to this session again?

^ I'd be happy with an earlier finish, I was supposed to be hosting The Greatest Song Contest In The World...Ever! results that day too :drama: debating whether to extend that deadline by a day or not as virtually alone there's already a lot going on
