January 3, 200718 yr but will it work in the usa its very poppy Carwahs flopped and i hope candyman doesnt
January 3, 200718 yr it may work... its just outside the i-tunes hot 100 (US) at #102 so its already having an impact which is great!! i think it will just take a little longer to catch on over there...
January 6, 200718 yr Nelly Furtado releases Say It Right on the same day. I don't know if either will make top 5 to be honest. :(
January 6, 200718 yr I hope one of the other songs on the single is the Pepsi version of Here To Stay. :D
January 6, 200718 yr i think people are not realising how catchy the song actually is, with a good video it could make top 5... its clearly a fan favourite and will appeal to many ages!! people are so negative in MY christina forum... :P Edited January 6, 200718 yr by Blitz
January 7, 200718 yr Well i've been listening to Back To Basics a lot recently, and Candyman is definately a stand out single, and it can be performed to perfection as the New Years Eve performance shows, I think it will do well in the UK, but not sure about the US...
January 7, 200718 yr This should have been the 2nd single, although I love Hurt, it wasn't very radio friendly and hence why it didn't do that well! ;) I'm not sure how Candyman will do in the US, it's very different. I think she would be better off releasing a different single over there, prehaps Slow Down Baby or Back In The Day?? ;) :P
January 7, 200718 yr Well, people, you know, ummmmm. When BTB was first released Candyman managed to get a No. 63 position on iTunes top 100, so, if you ask me, that's bloody great for something people haven't heard, so...RIght now, it's just outside the top 100.
January 8, 200718 yr Under new chart rules we could just download the song over and over again before it's released and that could get it in the itunes chart and hence, some public interest :kink:
January 8, 200718 yr I've been listening to this quite a bit and I am just not convinced. It's not even catchy! Whereas Slow Down Baby...well that's just class.
January 8, 200718 yr I have to (for the first time) disagree with you Ashley. I let my friend listen to it when BTB came out and she said that she loved the song. That's in the US. And she only likes rock-ish songs. SDB IMO is not good. I don't like much. Not really a stand out track, especially when choosing singles. But we shall see, my friend.
January 8, 200718 yr Candyman sounds really camp so i'm sure it'll do well, they gays will defo support it! :)
