It’s been posted on say hey that these are the rumoured titles of Kylie upcoming single and album. The single is a biffco track and in a similar vein to all the lovers. I don’t know any more information but sounds interesting!

Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

Love the snippets of information that flow through and always here for Biffco material.

Love the potential album name too!

I need to keep my expectations well done as i know its likely it wont be nearly as good as all the lovers so i need to keep them separate that way to avoid disappointment so that i listen to the song on its own merit if that makes sense.

I’m hoping it’s not similar to all the lovers which is a great song but I don’t want another track that sounds the same. No mention of a release date yet but I would predict we may get something early in the New Year.
I definitely think they’ll follow the same campaign as Golden, i.e. first single January and album March/April then re-promote at Christmas too.
The golden campaign worked so well so i think them following that again would be great, disco was handled great aswell but Covid really put a spanner in the works but it done very well all things considered.

Golden had a really strong chart life which ranks among her best and I would greatly welcome Kylie achieving this again.

Disco did however match the sales of Golden but with a shorter chart life.

I don't like the album title. Kletric would be a better title imo.

That indeed does sound like a great plan for them, especially with a deluxe version at Xmas that her fans will eat up again.

It's gonna be harder for an act like Kylie to have to have longevity in the album chart the more dominant streaming becomes, the fact Golden had a longer run is probably more symbolic of how vastly different the climate was 3 years previously.

That is unfortunately the reality for artists who don't have streaming on their side.

Luckily, to date Kylie has not experienced that massive drop that many albums experience on week 2 but is likely to start happening.

The Disco chart life is more likely than Golden as a best outcome.

Ya I'd hate a 1 to 29 type drop for a kylie album but I know it could happen, I think it would be more like robbie Williams recent 1 to 18 type drop. Sadly kylie will never overcome the streaming obstacles so hopefully building up number 1 albums will make up for it, I'm hoping for another number 1 album so hopefully she releases on the right week.
Further Number 1 albums I would welcome and BMG will be looking for the same.
I think BMG will be looking for her to miss the top 40 tbh
Why would they want her to miss the top 40??

It’s sarcasm to highlight that “BMG will be looking for further #1 albums” kind of goes without saying :kink:

Is there a reason why this thread was started when there’s already a KM16 thread which is now being neglected in favour of this one?

^ I was going to alter the title to make this the discussion thread for what will be the lead single but just hadn’t got round to it. :kink:
