Ok

Found this on wikipedia. (so defintaly VERY unconfirmed!)

"As of Thursday A Moment Like This has sold 600,000 copies, and with 2 days of sales left, Leona is almost guaranteed to outsell last year's winner Shayne Ward."

Maybe this person is guessing, or do they know something we dont?.

I hate to say this, but Wikipedia, tends to make things up, as people can edit information, for all we know somebody could go and edit the sales to 800,000, so I wouldn't take that as gospel, sorry, I see that as a fake, I never take anything seriously from Wikipedia.

Hence why the title of thread says the sales are "unconfirmed, very unconfirmed" ;)

Leona certain to be Christmas winner

LONDON (Reuters) - X-Factor winner Leona Lewis is certain to be the Christmas number one, retailers said on Friday, as bookmakers complained that Simon Cowell had sunk the annual guessing game of who would take the coveted top pop spot.

Retailer HMV said sales of Leona's "A Moment Like This" could reach 500,000 and may even top 750,000 by Christmas."It is absolutely no contest," said HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo.

"If sales reach 750,000 that would make it the second biggest single of the year after Gnarls Barclay's 'Crazy'," he told Reuters."It is already the fastest ever music download in Britain. She sold 100,000 in the first two days," he said. "She is outselling everyone else by a margin of about 10-1."Cliff Richard had pleaded with fans to buy his single "21st Century Christmas" in a bid to give him a number one in the sixth decade of the charts.

As of Thursday A Moment Like This has sold 100,000 copies, and with 2 days of sales left, Leona is not going to outsell last year's winner, the talented and humble Shayne Ward (Leona only pretends to be humble sources have claimed). It is also predicted that Leona will not become the year's best seller, leaving Gnarls Barkley and Shakira at top of the year end chart. Crazy has already sold in excess of 800,000 copies.

:o

Cliff Richard had pleaded with fans to buy his single "21st Century Christmas" in a bid to give him a number one in the sixth decade of the charts.

A four-track EP of songs recorded by Lewis before entering The X Factor went on sale as a download only single, the same week as "A Moment like This" was released

what is this?

Some people are going to be disappointed.

Monday it was 88K Total

Tuesday was 96K Total, although for sure there would of been some data missing from this figure.

Nothing else has any confirmation.

That was just downloads :P Physical sales renember :P

That was just downloads :P Physical sales renember :P

I understand that, and can see a big uptake of the physical, but at the moment everything seems to be speculation.

Maybe we will not find out until after Xmas now.

Whitney gives Leona a call

Virgin Net

X Factor winner Leona Lewis was thrilled to receive a phone call from Whitney Houston congratulating her on winning the show.

Whitney apparently became a fan of the 21-year-old singer after a friend sent her tapes of the singing contest.

When she heard Leona had won, she called to say well done, according to the Daily Mirror.

A source told the newspaper: "Whitney thought Leona was amazing and wished her luck."

Leona has also been in touch with American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson after Leona covered Kelly's hit 'A Moment Like This' for her debut single.

Kelly, who won the US contest in 2002, apparently told Leona she loved her version of the track.

'A Moment Like This' is set to be the Christmas number one and could also beat Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy' to become the biggest-selling single of the year.

The CD version of the single - which was released on Wednesday - sold 150,000 copies in its first day.

It had also sold 200,000 downloads before going on sale as a CD and bookies have called off all bets on Leona becoming the Christmas number one.

Maybe the 200k is missing from this --> 360k
Im thinking some of these downloads, like the ones they were giving away via text, arent eligible perhaps?
so that means thursday and friday she would of sold 10k if it is true shes sold 360k so it must be wrong or have something missing......

no not at the moment im sure we will hear tomorrow what the sales are

Ain't you forgetting something, its xmas eve, not likely to get ANY sales info
