Reading up on the new voting system, now juries get to decide who wins FiK, and televote get to decide who goes to Eurovision. So like Sanremo but with the winner of this competition quite possibly not getting a chance to go.

 

Sounds chaotic, bring it on.

Elsa Lila reappearance after being in hiatus for so long could potentially run for Fifi's money!!!

 

But yeah Fifi is the most mainstream (current) and popular one...she loves competitions and basically she participates in every possible festival!!!

Second song of 2023 being confirmed tonight. Hard to call how this will go given the new separate jury & televote legs of the voting. The "surprise" hit of the semi final shows was Duje but you'd presume Fifi is still going into this as the favourite.

 

 

I'm not getting around to listening to all these entries but either of those two would be more than acceptable.

There's also Burre which can have an outside chance. I haven't listened to the songs yet as they were released right on the live show like Melodifestivalen, so I could only make opinions after the show ends x

Ugh why Elsa Lila isn’t tipped to win…sitting on a chair and sing her lungs out is what I want for Albania!!!

 

Fifi song has a winning formula, I don’t know what that shit is but reggae beat with folklore traditional instrumental wasn’t in my books.

 

Albina and her family seems to be the surprise hit but I would be shocked if she gets to win!!!

Duje gets the ticket! Evita won the juries vote, but won't be enough to represent Albania

for not sending Evita...don't hate Albina at all but I have a feeling another DNQ is upon Albania!!!

I think this is fabulous, and the best of what I heard in FiK this year (watched the first night in full, and then the first hour of the second night). Hope it's a qualifier, to me it sounds like something that could aim for mid-table in the final, I think it's really nice having all the family involved.

The first half of the final is terrible but the second half is amazing! Duje sounds very epic. I hope the studio version is going to be even better. It needs some calm and stripped moments to make the epic chorus stand out.
