Well I wouldn't really base respect on someone because they make me laugh, but it's your preferance.

 

It's like the same with me and Rachel Stevens, I know she can't sing very well, I know she's manufactured, I know she doesn't write her own songs, I know she doesn't sing live, but I like her music. I think that's what you're getting at here. ;)

Maybe not, but at least I'd actually have a bit of respect for you if you had a coherent arguement, I'd at least be able to relate to you on an intellectual level, like I can with Kelly, our musical tastes are poles apart, but intellectually we can relate....

 

I cant respect anyone who acts dumber than they actually are, there's no excuse in the for being ignorant and uneducated in this day and age, certainly not in the Western world in any case, we have free education from 5-18, we have Universities available to everyone, we have libraries full of books, knowlege and learning.... Kids living in poverty-stricken African and Asian states would KILL (and in some cases, in certain brutal dictatorships, die...) for the opportunities that too many of OUR young people p*** up the wall. I cannot, and will not tolerate ignorance, ignorance is the most destructive force in the world, ignorance breeds fear, fear breeds hate, hate breeds violence, it is a vicious cycle. look here guys.... some of us have been around for years and have experienced many things in music. in this depertment grimly is a heavyweight, he debates things, he supports his views be reasoned debate based in information gathered. now if some young hormonal lad tries to argue/debate with him then clearly he will be outgunned!

Nope not at all but both of them contributed to their own deaths, Monroe being a habitual drug user who was sleeping with a President and an Attorney General and Diana who was taking 100mph car rides without a seatbelt, Paris Hilton represents everything that is wrong about society today and the obsession with celebrity culture and the suggestion to young girls that you can justifiably use porn to get your way to the top in society, she is the worst role model I can think of

I can go along with that, most of the bands/artists I listen to nowadays are Continental European. It really got my goat that Q magazine once referred to Italian Hard Rockers Lacuna Coil as being "the new Evanescence" a couple of years back.... For a start, they'd been doing their thing a LOT longer than Amy Lee and Ben Moody.... It's just a general symptom of the ignorance most people have of anything not British or American really....

It annoys me how dreadful songs like hers can even make the chart yet when great popstars/groups try to break the UK or USA they alays fail unless the singer is plastic and plastered on the front page of magazines. Dreadful groups like McFly which have awful voices are

in the top 3 again and the dire chavtastic cover from Cascada is yet

again selling from the typical sl*g video. It seems to be a succesful singer in this country the singer has to be a plastic, orange, monster like

Paris Hilton or Posh Spice.

I hope that she doesnt release anymore songs, her voice is so irritating and so are the music videos.

this culture we are living in right now where people want something for nothing, even everything for nothing, expect to get money, fame and success by doing no or little work she is the most extreme and the worst example of this! thats why she is disliked so much she has brought this ethos to music

 

she got her record contract cause of her fame and name based on what exactly? nothing! it was not for her talent or that she is musical in any way, another factor is she broke a major rule in the music business....the way her people tried to trick the public by not making her n

ever perform or sing live is outrageous! and no one would get away with that even if it wasn't paris, you can only get credibilty if you perform or at least attempt to sing live and show you are genuine, so all this time she is seen as a fake, paris doesn't belong in the music industry and never will, you can't ever respect someone that doesn't work hard to get to where they are

 

also about rachel stevens her downfall was caused by the fact she did so much promo tv work with every single release but never once performed her songs live, she was over exposed and her dull media trained personality didn't help when she was being interviewed, the public started to wake up to her and it affected her credibilty hence her flopping and being dropped
