UK Chart Run: 1-1-1-1-2-6-8-9-9-17-38-47-65-74 (14 weeks)

In what is probably the biggest landslide ever in one of these survivors with a whopping 71% of votes casts and, to no one's surprise, it's the other double A-Side from Robson & Jerome which is next out. Fresh off the back of their million+ selling debut single they released this combo of I Believe, a cover of Frankie Laine's 1953 song which still holds the record for most weeks at #1 to this day, and Up On The Roof, first released by the Drifters in 1962 although a version by Kenny Lynch was the most successful version in the UK prior to this one. It managed a month at #1 and they'd go on to have one further chart-topper the next year before disappearing from the music scene in 1997.

With that, the competition can really start now.

I'm surprised at the hatred for Fairground. I'm no Simply Red fan but I've always enjoyed this one, pretty upbeat by their usual standards!
I do like some Simply Red songs too so I'm not an anti fan but 'Fairground' has never sounded appealing to my ears, even back as a kid in the car.

Edited by Roba!

voting for Fairground but the 2 Jacko songs are terrible too

I echo this. I'm not keen on Simply Red, but Fairground was okay.

On the other hand, I am a fan of MJ and both Earth Song and You Are Not Alone are some of his worst. I'll go Earth Song for next out.

Plumped for 'Think Twice' - now the obvious ones are out it was between that and 'You Are Not Alone', both a chore to listen to
Well this is looking a little better now, but there's still an awful lot of averageness here - Both MJ songs and Celine need to go. I went for the latter x
You Are Not Alone gets my vote. It's just such a dull and typical R Kelly ballad and my least favourite single of MJ's from the 90s. I'm not a huge fan of Earth Song either but at least that's more memorable and has more life in the delivery and production.
