November 28, 200816 yr Oh bum, what does retro really mean? How old are we talking? To be fair the topic asked me for my 12 favourite songs, period! I think pre-2000 is classed as 'retro' here. I may have cheated and included Aaliyah who is from 2000 on mine. ;) I find it a bit hard to think of 12 songs amazing songs I like, by different artists, pre-2000 as I was only getting into music properly at the turn of the century so anything before that is harder to connect to for me. That said, I love all the songs on my list, but I might only include two of them if we could choose music from the present. Edited November 28, 200816 yr by Aaron™

November 28, 200816 yr theres nowt to stop you younger buggers starting a similar thread in the lounge... :) maybe the renegade oldies who dont visit here would contribute! Oh I don't know, I think these 'list' topics are frowned upon in the lounge. I always try to add a comment to each song when I post on them in here as well, it's better when there's some form of explanation behind the choices imo. I don't know if that's the right attitude to have, surely it'd be good to get the other 'buggers' to post in here to add some variety? Except I guess the ironic part about that question is that the people who post here probably have the most varied tastes on the forum, while the rest (including me) generally champion female pop.
