January 17, 20241 yr He should go back to his country/hip hop style which make him big in the first place. This style of music just sounds like every other generic R&B act.
January 17, 20241 yr Hard disagree, I think its great! Plus this is the kind of thing he clearly wants to make.
January 17, 20241 yr I'm not sure I quite agree with that (Montero being his only good song), but he's seriously fallen off and lost the edge with this one :( it's crap. 'Montero (Call Me By Your Name)' feels really forgotten these days for how huge it was at the time, but I still dig it! Edited January 17, 20241 yr by Jessie Where
January 17, 20241 yr CALL ME BY YOUR NAME (MONTERO) is his only good song I fear 'INDUSTRY BABY' tho x
January 18, 20241 yr This is really not as bad as people are making out, it’s actually really catchy, it just feels very expected of him and feels like a retread of everything he’s already done.
January 25, 20241 yr i feel like this is gonna be the equivalent of sun goes down. excited to hear it but this era is giving montero rehash - kick off with the high enerrgy controversial single (montero/ j christ) followed by a sad mellow song (sun goes down/ where do we go now).
January 27, 20241 yr 'J CHRIST' sounds fine but it really just makes me want to listen to 'HUMBLE.' lol. And there is something that feels just a little bit embarrassing about listening to a song which has 'is he bout to give them something viral?' in the hook with the knowledge that it very much did not go viral :kink: (well I suppose the ~discourse~ did but seems like not many people care much about the song this time around oop) He should have gone with the Kesha collab x
