But 'The Biggest Selling Female Artist Is Mariah' but they add singles sales and everything to to ^_^ But Album wise its Madonna ^_^
December 24, 200618 yr Author I don't want to start going on about it but if you ask me Madonna has definatly sold more albums and singles. :lol: The World Music Awards/Guinness World Records have said Mariah is the best selling, however they also said the same about Celine Dion. As well as saying MJ had sold over 750 million, So I don't take what they say seriously at all :P Madonna has sold more studio albums and far more compilations than Mariah. I'm not sure about singles but they are'nt really important at the end of day. Madge has dozens and dozens of mega famous hits - I can only think of a few Mariah hits. :P She's definatly bigger singles wise in the US than Madge though ^_^ Madge's record company claim she has sold over 200 million albums, whilst Mariah's claim over 160 million (really 143m though) . Both total's are shipments though ^_^ Mariah has sold 48 million singles WW according to http://www.mimi-charts.de.vu/ ^_^ So over 200 million records to compared to Madonna 200 million albums alone. Madonna has also sold well over 15 million single in the UK alone. :D
