The Ski World Cup is in full swing at the moment! Just been catching up on Ski Sunday, nice to see Dave Ryding come back strong to get silver at Kitzbühel.

Only a few weeks until the FIS World Championships gets underway!

US-born Atkin, 20, clinched victory from Canada's Rachael Karker with her final run, while Svea Irving of the US won bronze.

Great Britain won a first four-man bobsleigh medal at the World Championships for 84 years with silver in St Mortiz.

Pilot Brad Hall, Taylor Lawrence, Greg Cackett and Arran Gulliver finished joint second with Latvia.

Germany's Olympic champion Francesco Friedrich claimed his fifth consecutive title in a time of four minutes 19.61 seconds, 0.69secs ahead.

Britain's most recent four-man medal, also a silver, came in Cortina in 1939.

Shame to see Dave Ryding straddle at the Chamonix slalom this week although nice to see Laurie Taylor get a second run. And I certainly wasn't expecting AJ Ginnis from Greece to get himself onto the podium!

Great Britain's four-man bobsleigh success this season is a "catalyst" for more to come over the next three years to the 2026 Winter Olympics, says team member Taylor Lawrence.

The quartet won silver at the World Championships in St Moritz last weekend, Britain's first medal in the event in 84 years.

They also won the European title and three World Cup medals this winter.

Pilot Brad Hall, Greg Cackett and Aran Gulliver make up the rest of the squad.

Charlotte Bankes soothed her "raw" pain at losing her world title in the best possible way - with a new gold medal.

Just 24 hours after crashing out of her individual snowboard cross title defence, she made history with Huw Nightingale in the mixed team event at the World Championships in Georgia.

It's the nation's first-ever title in the mixed team discipline which debuted at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

"I can't quite believe it," Bankes, 27, said.

Scotland have suffered their first loss of the World Men's Curling Championship round-robin stage after reigning champions Sweden prevailed 7-4.

Bruce Mouat's rink, currently ranked sixth, had opened with comfortable wins over third-ranked Italy and outsiders Turkey in Ontario, Canada.

But they were always playing catch up after the Swedes picked up two at the second end.

And Niklas Edin's side secured victory with three at the ninth end.
