I think the Australian/International cover of Buzz wasn’t too bad.

It’s definitely better than the UK one!

Yeah, pretty much all of them on the Buzz cover are sporting some seriously choice hairstyles.

The hairstyles were definitely an odd choice.

In 2000 (and the early 2000s) I don’t think that their hairstyles were thought of as being odd/choices, same goes for the clothing fashion and their artwork designs. When something is new and happening in real time it’s just kind of accepted as being modern. It’s only when looking back on something years later, when certain looks/styles really didn’t stand the test of time - and therefore become very dated - that it’ll look of its time and odd.

I think the same is certainly true of the 80s. Everything about Kylie’s releases from that era look dated and cheap and you wonder how certain hairstyles and clothing choices (hair coming out of a hat!) were ever seen as good choices… but presumably at the time it was all very well received and came across well to the public, given her huge sales and high chart peaks.

Another example I can think of is Gareth Gates’ extremely gelled and spiky hedgehog hairstyle. Now I think it looks ridiculous but at the time the youth (including me, I was 13/14!) were very taken in by it, whether it was finding him attractive inclusive of the hairstyle, or wanting to replicate the hairstyle. Let’s say the boys in my class had a lot of gel in their hair at that time lol.

Agree. The amount of gel I use to have in my hair from about 2000-2002, then less so after that. It all looked very ‘cool’ and ‘in’ at the time. Not so much now.

That’s pretty much what I’ve had ever since about 2004/5. But that’s continuing this off topic discussion.

So is anyone else looking forward to Claire, I mean Knitting performing this weekend?

Maybe discussing step one vinyl 25th anniversary release.

Lol, Yobnedor means that the remaining The Masked Singer contestants will be together in the next episode.

Yes, this is what I meant!

I did get a little confused for a moment. Thanks for clarifying.

Also… Davina guessed Claire tonight!

We had a clue package that featured Knitting going into a church.

She also said she wants a “real good time.”

Just watched this for the first time and pretty certain Claire is Knitting.

Sounded like her.

It wasn’t a great Claire vocal tonight in my most humble of opinion but Perrie makes Secret Love Song. I don’t think anyone else AT ALL would do it justice!
