January 27, 20232 yr She never misses. This is so good  The chorus has been stuck in my head ever since hearing the clip, love it.
January 27, 20232 yr She's not Indie, She's Alternative, like this forum Except that she isn't, she does Latin Urban/Pop/Flamenco music.
January 27, 20232 yr Author I'd say she's more alternative than pure mainstream pop but is that so important to you? She has elements from everywhere, reggaeton, flamenco, salsa, bachata, everywhere except pop ;)
January 27, 20232 yr Obviously her music covers a pretty wide range of genres but we only have 4 umbrella categories for genre forums on here and I would definitely put her more in pop overall than in indie/'alternative'. All of her most popular songs are definitely on the poppier end of her output (counting reggaetón as more adjacent to pop than to R&B/hip-hop which is debatable but either way it's definitely not indie lol) even if she does have less accessible stuff in her earlier singles / album tracks.
January 27, 20232 yr ^I knew you were gonna like it ;) what you think of the bridge? I should've had more faith in her. The bridge and more stripped final chorus that follows are fantastic *.*
February 2, 20232 yr The bridge is definitely the best part of this song, sounds straight out of 'Los Ángeles' although I do actually really like the chorus too, can definitely see it being an earworm. The only part I'm not that sold on yet is the verses, which kind of give some Ed Sheeran/Shawn Mendes vibes (decent songs by those artists mind, but still a bit more pedestrian than I want from ROSALÍA) which holds this back from being an instant classic in her discography but I'm sure they'll probably grow on me. For what seems to be primarily just a promo song for her Coca-Cola campaign it's definitely better than I expected anyway, it's worth it for the bridge alone! (btw the title of the thread should probably be changed to just 'LLYLM', that is the only title of the song)
February 2, 20232 yr Wonder why Rosalía is in the "indie" forum here  COLDPLAY are in the indie forum here!!
February 2, 20232 yr yes only the chorus is English, the rest is Spanish not what I was expecting, the chorus is very pop but the rest is more Spanish-influenced especially the bridge which is very flamenco ;) Is it too flamenco??
February 2, 20232 yr It hasn't clicked with me as much as I hoped. I feel like CANDY and DESPECHA had more oomph and charm
February 2, 20232 yr This has really crept up in my affections in the past few days - she has such a special touch on whatever she turns her hand to. Agreed that it’s not as good as Despecha and a bit more mainstream than you’d expect but it still definitely has her stamp on it.
February 5, 20232 yr Im liking this less and less :( The production is giving Cheesy Ed/Shawn Mendes vibes
February 9, 20232 yr Author just saw Clean Bandit posting on IG how much they like Rosalia and this song hope she stays away from them, no collabs with dance acts that were good for 5 minutes and lost it ages ago please!!!!
March 13, 20232 yr @1635369948855033856 New music is on the way! Ready to add 'Vampiros' to my Halloween playlist tbh. (p.s. managed to find some of her Coca-Cola and the taste was... not for me :kink:)
March 13, 20232 yr Ooh I was wondering if we'd ever get a proper collab between her and Rauw (she has backing vocals on a couple of his album tracks but that's been it so far) - hype ~ Rauw's music is kind of hit or miss for me but I trust ROSALÍA to hopefully bring out the best in him. Hoping for some 'Todo De Ti' / 'GRACIAS POR NADA' level quality x
March 26, 20232 yr I can see why 'BESO' is the smash but 'VAMPIROS' is my personal favourite, those final 30 seconds oh my
