January 12, 20232 yr Don't check out 6 Music ever but I'll dip in and check some of it. Yeah I think I will too - might get some new discoveries!
January 12, 20232 yr I'm a fairly recent 6Music convert and loved their 80s day last week! Looking forward to this :cheer:
January 18, 20232 yr Thank you for the notification, I'm really looking forward to this, esp hyped for a Ladytron mix. I hope that Johnny Boy's “You Are The Generation That Bought More Shoes And You Get What You Deserve” gets a play. Still not over the lowly #50 peak that got. 😞
January 19, 20232 yr Author Working from home today so get to listen to this all day. Enjoying hearing a lot of songs I didn't even know existed at the time and some classics that I've not heard in ages
January 19, 20232 yr Author Sugababes - Freak Like Me into Fischerspooner - Emerge. This diversity
January 19, 20232 yr Author How’s it going mate? I’m at work all day so can’t listen :( BBC Sounds will be your friend for catch up. There's a great range of music being played. I particularly enjoyed Ladytron's mix earlier this morning
January 19, 20232 yr Just tuning in for a bit now. Playing Hercules & Love Affair - Blind. I recognise this and it's sounding decent. Ah it peaked at #40 and spent two weeks in the top 75!
January 19, 20232 yr Battles 'Atlas' playing now. I've never heard this but it's sounding pretty cool tbh. IpGp-22t0lU
January 19, 20232 yr Author I enjoyed hearing Crossover - Phogtographt earlier. Never heard it before but it really stuck out
January 19, 20232 yr Not sure if anyone was listening at 7am but La Roux was on selecting faves from the 2000s and we had Britney Spears “Toxic” followed by The Knife's “Heartbeats” ( a song which peaked at #1 in 2004 followed by a song that peaked at #119 in 2004)! Sugababes - Freak Like Me into Fischerspooner - Emerge. This diversity  That was quite a moment. Just tuning in for a bit now. Playing Hercules & Love Affair - Blind. I recognise this and it's sounding decent. Ah it peaked at #40 and spent two weeks in the top 75! Featuring Anohni Hegarty on vocal duties - I bought this on CD single at the time and remember being pleased it had made the Top 40. So many favourites played today but especially great to hear Metric's “Monster Hospital” on the radio. Sadly peaking at just 55 in 2006. I remember buying “Young Folks” by Peter, Bjorn and John in the same week but that did make the Top 40. Zed Bias' “Neighbourhood” too. *.*
